Got my renewal direct debit notification today. They've included a spot on the car park which is surprising as I've never had one before so not only is it a renewal, it's also an attempt at hiding an add-on.

Did they charge an extra £15 per ticket previously as well? So in effect, interest free it may be but on my lad's £259 ticket that £15 equates to 5.8% and 3.6% on mine and MrsD's tickets.

Just saying that some would get a season ticket for their disinterested child at £70 over 12 months but at £90 up front may not bother. Season ticket sales dont take account of how much they cost so losing these sales has a detrimental effect on the headline figures which everybody takes notice of.

£15 add on for a child ticket which is around 20% extra. On a point of principal I won't be doing D/D, and there have to be some that just don't bother at all because their kid probably misses all night matches and it's no longer a rock bottom price.

It is a rock bottom price though if you pay in full. In fact, it’s still a rock bottom price on direct debit. Regardless of percentages, it can’t be any more than a couple of quid extra per month?

Rang up this morning - car park pass is a mistake (who signs these letters off !!)

£15 admin for a child ticket is a bit steep in my opinion, but used the DD scheme last few years as it was interest free.

£30 on 2 tickets at £500 - represents 6%, so will just pay upfront next year.

So everybody is happy

Club gets money up front doesn't have to buy the cash and you save 6%
