Not in Crawley Posted October 10, 2023 Posted October 10, 2023 (edited) Hill repeats - now those fuckers will burn fat like nobody's business. Sorry - quick edit, any high intensity invernal training really, as I believe you keep burning fat after you've stopped excersing but I've only ever done hill repeats and they really worked getting my speed up on the longer distance flat runs. Smiley Posted October 22, 2023 Posted October 22, 2023 Popped down to Buxton again (2nd time in 2 weeks) and competed in the Windgather Fell Race. Strong field of athletes. Did far better than I anticipated. Finished in the top 3rd. Fucked now! Weather was ace. Love the Goyt Valley. Quote
Not in Crawley Posted November 3, 2023 Posted November 3, 2023 Well tonight is last night of sober October. To be fair not missed it - and not had a ciggie as well for 4 weeks, which is good because after quiting for 4 years starting up again was a bit silly. Had a few PNs which have been fine but dodged a couple of media liquid lunches. Lost almost a stone, gym everyday, think I'll probably keep on with it - enjoying everything a lot more. Quote
Zico Posted November 3, 2023 Posted November 3, 2023 Was all going great till I had a week in Tenerife, boozing every night and not exercising Now I'm back home, with loads to catch up on and no time to do anything Except keep on boozing Going to nip it in the bud after Saturday night Hopefully Quote

Avoids temptation! Also - I've been ploughing through work like a motherfucker - hence being on here - already done a couple of hours work, feel like one of those High Performance dickwads. Quote

gonzo Posted November 8, 2023 Author Posted November 8, 2023 I sleep terrible off ale. Drank every day on holiday and woke up riddled with beer fear at bang on 5am every morning then struggled getting back off. The mind cant do its business when you've got ale in your system. Quote
captainmed Posted November 9, 2023 Posted November 9, 2023 (edited) Have walked a daily average of 12.5KM for 30 consecutive months now. Helps with your state of mind and Its also a trade-off for my alcohol consumption. Always been fortunate with my weight though, even before the exercise push.
