Back to boots today, same clothes etc, Bmi has dropped from 36.7 to 36 Body fat % from 34.7 to 32 Weight from 129.7 to 131.4 Body fat mass from 44.9 to 42kg. So in a nutshell since 27th, I've lost 2.9kgs of fat, but put 800g on so assuming that might be 3.7 of muscle and water, But at least my Body fat percent us now "average"

Site Supporter only1swanny Posted September 15 Site Supporter Share Posted September 15 Gonna have a look at some PT courses, see what's about. Find it all fascinating how the body works, no interest in working that field but will at the least keep my head busy over the next few months whilst I deal with stuff.. Site Supporter FrancisFogarty Posted September 16 Site Supporter Share Posted September 16 Since I turned 70 the doctor won’t leave me alone. Past few weeks I’ve given them samples of everything I produce (nearly). Resulting in me having to have a colonoscopy. It shit me up so much I started losing weight fast. About 8/9 pounds in no time. It seems to have stabilised at a midge’s less than 14st so about 5lb net loss. I feel better for it mind. It used to take about an hour in the morning to get to full mobility but I’ve been helping mow a bowling green and being dragged behind the mower does wonders for my legs and hips. Sciatica has gone as well.

Loved it when I used to do it regularly. Especially in Autumn/Winter It's a balancing act with me and managing old football injuries .. probably need to lose a stone or 2 before I can crack on like that again

I do that three times a week and the occasional run as the knees can't take a 5k every other day anymore. Gives you the same 'buzz' but without knackering the joints. I do a one hour session of 2k warm up on the rowing machine, 1k on the ski machine, 10k HIIT session on the bike and then warm down with free weight bench press and 10 minutes kettle bells (I hate doing weight stuff but it's supposed to be good for you as you get older) Not sure if it's doing me any good but I do it for the old noggin in the main. gonzo
It's a big gay and a bit of chore but swimming is perfect for anyone with joint issues. Burn absolutely shit loads of cals too even at a moderate pace.

Gonk
Lost just short of a stone in 4 weeks. Wouldn't recommend the method... Had a heart attack on 08/09 - a week in CCU, angiogram at Manchester Royal consisting of some balloon work plus a stent fitted, a month off the beer (well 2 pints of coors piss in the 4 weeks) Feel great now though - just today had a step class for middle aged men (cardio rehab) which I need a day or two to recover from. Not my heart, that's fine, everywhere else is aching though
