Mounts Kipper Posted January 5, 2019 Posted January 5, 2019 Fancy the winner of Newcastle v Blackburn preferably at home but wouldn’t mind away either. Quote
Leyther_Matt Posted January 5, 2019 Posted January 5, 2019 (edited) Not even sure Newcastle away would be much of a payday with the mood of their fans these days. Too much of a risk of losing to play Blackburn It’s either got to be a League One team at home so we can hopefully go through to the next round or Liverpool/Arsenal/Tottenham/Chelsea/Man Utd away and coin it in. Don’t want City as we’ll make bugger all from gate receipts (although going to an away game against a world class side for £20 for ticket and travel would be a novelty). Duck Egg Posted January 5, 2019 Posted January 5, 2019 Please not someone like Gillingham or Bristol City away. Anything at all that generates cash will do. Quote

Underpants Posted January 6, 2019 Posted January 6, 2019 Accy away. First match out of the hat again. YHIHF Quote
ex_midlandwhite Posted January 6, 2019 Posted January 6, 2019 Anyone who can sell our ground out for us. Couldn't help thinking first half that we probably made a loss on yesterday's game before the prize money Quote
Biggish Dave Posted January 6, 2019 Posted January 6, 2019 The worst team left in (apart from us) at home please. At least then by 5th round day even the big boys will be taking it seriously so could get a sell out away day and plenty of poke. Quote
Duck Egg Posted January 6, 2019 Posted January 6, 2019 Everton away please. They had 38000 on versus Lincoln yesterday. Plus we'd probably win too Quote
tomski Posted January 6, 2019 Posted January 6, 2019 Id like Everton away. Or any away I've not done Quote

An absolute slag of a trip to sort out at short notice though! Quote

Agree though that if we can't get a big club, they are next best TV money shouldn't be overlooked in all this I'm thinking it's chunky, especially if it's BBC Quote
radcliffe white Posted January 6, 2019 Posted January 6, 2019 Wonder what money we got from both Liverpool games on tv few years back Quote
MalcolmW Posted January 6, 2019 Posted January 6, 2019 The prize money has doubled from last season. I've not seen anything new about TV fees, so I'm assuming the deal is as for last season. And both teams get 45% of gate receipts - Cambridge got £1.2M from the OT gate alone last time. Every round there is a real risk of being knocked out, no matter who we get (we did come back from 0-1 yesterday). Quote

Mounts Kipper Posted January 6, 2019 Author Posted January 6, 2019 Grimsby took 9000 to palace, makes our 4000 at home look shocking. Quote
