Eh?

This is not about past debts

This is about now

Old debts get paid through the sale

I was trying to briefly explain why there's no money in the pot to continue running a club (like others with gates of 4,000) as RUREADY intimated,  without settling the debts via sale first.

If the Administrators stated that season tickets are going on sale with the risk of the club going bust half way through the season I would buy one even though I rarely go to home matches. 10000 x say £200 average cost would raise £2 million and keep us afloat for a long time with low wages.

Who would buy?

I'd get a half season ticket, if it gave some guarantee until new year say.

Wouldn't go the full hog though, and I doubt many would.

Accrington survive in League 1 with total outgoings of £3m (including player wages)

Its doable but our costs are too high, Business rates etc. But then again, the ground was meant to wash its own face by holding other events, It’s clearly not! Why do we have 150 non playing staff ffs? I bet Accrington don’t have more than a dozen. If the ground can’t wash it’s own face then stop doing all the other shit events, cut the number of staff down and try and get the rates reduced based on it being a single use Football stadium

Anyway, that’s all by the by now, fuck knows what all these wankers have been discussing for the past 6 months for a deal to be done Friday then fucked on Saturday

Fuck them all, particularly that grubby little wanker Anderson and his family, fingers crossed they get what’s coming to them

150?

How many folk work on matchday

That'll be pushing 50

Can easily see how it gets to that number

It's nothing to do with historic debt

All to do with now

When less than 5k pitch up for a game in our darkest hour, this is what happens

What? Preferred bidder is irrelevant. Nixon May well be right that others want club . But they need to make an offer.

And further, does a new buyer if one exists actually solve the issue?

The statement the administrator has put out is hardly conducive to him conducting discussions with other parties

Its a gun to the head job

He ought to be inviting other parties to come forward

There is an alternative purchaser for the hotel

Tomorrow Quantuma go back to work , wonder what their administrator will do in light of all this come 5pm if no deal done

That's the end of FV  for sure - such is the fragility of the deal that Appleton  has put together

But it might not be the end of the club if he gets his act together

Now this is what I really don't understand. Some clubs with a full squad manage on crowds of 3-4000 and pay everyone. At the moment we only have 5 professionals and kids so who are all these 150 people and even with the crowd on Saturday why cant we balance the books?

Don’t forget, we fucked a game off on Tuesday, I’d have imagined that we would have had 5k on for that and a few more for Saturday (who thought twice after it was cancelled on Monday)

Id imagine missing that games cost us £100k, might have bought us another 14 days in admin, might have not

But at least the young players have their welfare, even though they might not have a club

Who do you see putting money in if it's not FV?

Hotel separate entity surely so they can’t be included in the 150 who lose their jobs on Tuesday?

A lot of matchday staff who work in kiosks are likely paid through third parties such as Heathcoates or an agency

Not sure how many of the 150 are genuine full time employees and not just a turnstile operator

Heathcotes kicked out first job, weren't they

From the hotel, not sure about ground kiosks, different administrators

Any-road, doubt the administrators went out and employed dozens of kiosk staff on part time contracts. Be agency staff the majority of the match-day staff.

So you think if we had higher gates we wouldn't be in the shit, and that the sale price and current negotiation is nothing to do with debts accrued over the last 3 years? I don't understand.

This.

Nah, not having it.

Suppose we'd got a full squad in etc. With the money they'd be owed, crowds would have to be many times greater.

There are more income streams than just gate receipts.

Birch's point above makes sense though, by postponing one game, a chunk of income has been lost.

That was done by the administrators too, though in fairness, they won't have seen this sudden change by Anderson coming.

Cost of running the club exceeds income at every level we’ve been at. Little tv money So Gate revenue main source of income. It’s not rocket science.

I'm on about the fact we get liquidated in 2 days

We have no money and it's nothing to do with paying ex players

If you're clawing that if the entry costs were lower we might've found a buyer, then yes, we might

But we are currently disappearing cos we xant pay our current costs
