Not a dig at you or them, but I would much rather non-Bolton fans with money than Bolton fans without it.

I do not know whether they have money, you are suggesting Gaspard has got significant funding behind them, others suggest they are moonmen. Not sure what to believe.

Honestly though, anyone who is going to try and take the club forward gets a yes from me at this stage. Whatever happens I'm sure tomorrow will open and close a few doors and that brings us closer to some form of conclusion.

In my mind, the best situation tomorrow is that we get sold to someone who isn't Ken Anderson 2.0 or get a delay that allows H's men to come in.

Liquidation hasn't been 100% ruled out but sounds unlikely from H's assertions. That will do for me for now.

Look I have seen one person on here suggest they are Moonmen  - whatever that may mean and hopefully that will come back back to bite said individual in the future

What I think this consortium has is a mix of Bolton fans ( local and penniless ! ) combined with some wealth stemming from North West Connections ( Manchester & Cheshire etc ) and beyond that wealth and assets in India , Asia the middle east and South Africa

All I would say is that if these people are successful they are doing it for all the right reasons

As at 4pm today the latest update I received suggested progress was  being made - slightly after that the BEN broke the story about the Gaspard bid

It suggests to me we are nearing conclusion

Benjamin...the moonmen comment comes from somebody knowing a bit about the frontman

Apparently he's never been able to back up his claims in the past?

Is this the men who contain Brett warbie and the bloke who owns the car park?

I. E they are more of a connection to the club than that fat lad who Sam signed who got fat on pies in Wigan?

I believe they have the support of all secured creditors including KA trustees , Brett Warburton & Michael James

Are you talking about Mario Jardel ?

Worth pointing out a couple of things:

https://www.bwfc.co.uk/news/2017/august/a-note-from-the-chairman7/

Previous notes from 2017 - Ken mention someone apparently linked with Gaspard (I say apparently, as that's what seems to be the link and fits the bill). This is why the doubt is being cast, as well as people looking at companies house records.

Ken also stated in his notes today that there is a buyer that they've been dealing with for 2 years but haven't provided proof of any funds. Didn't mention any names, but seems to fit as the notes linked are from 2 years ago and actually name the guy.

Username: Horwich (I think) said the moonmen comment. Ken Anderson implied that local businessmen talking to the media are moonmen and haven't provided proof of funds for 2 years. that fits the bill with Gaspard.

Really hope you are right though.

Bolton fans involved with people who do have money sounds great, but also fear that the Bolton fans wouldn't have much say if they haven't got the money.

Tomorrow we will get closer to the answers. Can only hope these answers are positive in nature.

Gaspard holdings was incorporated in February 2019 it was not around back in 2017

It may be true that individuals who are now associated with the Gaspard name , did , back  back in 2017 attempt to naively acquire the club and were rebuked by KA , but since then lessons have been learned and  as I have said earlier Individuals were brought in to assist in putting together a consortium that had a realistic chance , given the opportunity of acquiring BWFC

That's reassuring. Hopefully one of the involved parties that isn't named Bassini can get it done as soon as possible.

Even though H has said that liquidation is unlikely as it would involve Ken getting investigated, it could be that Ken feels confident this wouldn't matter - whether he's done nothing wrong or has hidden whatever he has done wrong well enough.

Just playing devil's advocate. Hope that this isn't the case.

Anyway, not much more that can be said and done if that is true. See you all after court. Fingers crossed.

In summary ...

1. We have Benny's mob, some comedy tyre kickers, Howard's mob fading out, and the mad fella plus a couple of dodgy blokes backed by Thai money launderers (allegedly).

2. We'll get an adjournment tomorrow in our 20 second hearing

us: can we please have another ...

judge: yes, now fuck off

3. By the state of this forum, no fucker in Bolton's done a scrap of work today

4. We've yet to establish how many times we can ask Howard exactly the same questions, but it's somewhere between fucking loads and infinity

5. Lots of folk upset that Howard's mob looking less likely despite the fact we've no idea who they are or what their intentions for the club are (although H seems to temper expectations whenever it looks likely and offer juicier bits when it looks off)

6. Turning up on Saturday gets you out of the house for a couple of hours with the added benefit of not having t watch the match.

7. You can still boo from outside (in the likelihood we're playing shit)

@MickyD Not sure there is one for today. The quoted message is the closest we got.

Sluffy is probably working on his as we speak.

All in all - not much happened other than speculation about tomorrow.

No one, not even Howard knows how tomorrow will play out. Kipper claims that Hillary Stonefrost is confident on an adjournment and Benny reckons his bidders are close - who are Gaspard LTD that the Bolton News did an article on today. They tried naively a couple years back and failed. Now they have more money from other members of a consortium and are more confident of getting a deal done.

If you want H's bidders to win the race, you'd better pray for an adjournment tomorrow because that's the only way they can get in.

Ken wants to sell to Bassini, apparently.

Oh, and H reckons liquidation is unlikely, as it would involve Ken being investigated. Doesn't mean that the court won't rule for liquidation as we still have a 7 day period to sell the club in that time, but H's bidders would be out of the equation then as they won't raise their bid and Ken doesn't seem to want to deal with them anyway.

Topping it off, Ken had a go at his players for striking.

I could be wrong but I thought he meant he wouldn't actually liquidate it, rather than not be liquidated in court tomorrow.

I think he means he'd sort it before the 7 days given by the court. Just have to hope it's sorted soon as possible, regardless of outcome tomorrow.

I think you are right. My point though is that, what if that is not the case and Ken doesn't care if we are liquidated because he's fine dealing with the investigation that follows.

In my heart and my head I doubt it and I'm trying not to think negatively but you never know.

What page is the latest instalment of Sluffy's Round-up?

Made a bit of a rod for my own back doing these haven't I!

:D

What have we've learned?

- Well we've discovered some hidden Treasure today!  Well at least that's what Gaspard means as a Spanish baby name (apparently it is also a variant of the English name Jasper too).  As for it's meaning to BWFC, Gaspard Holdings Ltd have announced themselves today as bidders for the club, with almost a done deal - and are the ones supposedly referred to in court a fortnight back.

- We needed some treasure because the day kicked off badly with Ken getting his extension on his 14 day notice and which pulled-up the Dark Horses expectant takeover of the club today.

- Seems it also puts a big dent in them getting it too.  The extension expires on the 10th but it seems (and I don't fully follow the logic), that if tomorrow liquidation is announced that the club ceases to exist at the close of play on the 9th.  I assume with tomorrow being the 3rd, and a maximum of up to seven days before as Arnie would say we are 'terminated', that the 3rd is counted as the first day of the clock countdown with the 9th being the seventh and last if it ever got that far.

- However the cavalry is riding into town.  Hilary has signed up to defend us yet again and Gaspard is saying deal so nearly done - hopes for a further adjournment seem reasonable if it will help get us over the line.

- Ken however would have to answer a lot of questions to the liquidator if the judge isn't minded to give him more time and we certainly wouldn't wish him to breakout in a further sweat that being the case would we?

- If Gaspard are really our little treasures, then I'm not sure where Team Bassari now fit in?  Surely the normally ever so reliable FIBS and LoV haven't got it wrong about Team B. convincing the EFL and also saying they had a done deal for the club?

- And just for fun Nixon is reporting KA's dropped his price and Football Ventures are back on the scene - but I some how think they have given the Football V to Ken already.

- Dark Horse stands nobly by and awaiting the fall out and jiggery pokery from tomorrows winder and the dance that inevitably will follow and is ready to gallop in and Trump everyone for ownership if it does gets to the 10th.

Finally has anyone asked Howard how he thinks it will go today?

Howard.

My youngest lad is currently reading Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.

I've discussed the character Uncle Joe with him and in his naivety he some how sees him as Charlie's kind elderly uncle.

How do I explain in simple terms to an 8 year old that Uncle Joe is actually a good for nothing, selfish, worthless shithouse who has lay in bed for 20 years not contributing to the family in any way shape or form. Allowing Charlie's mother to work herself to death while watching on without a care in the world.

However, the second Charlie finds his golden ticket the cunt drops his charade and forgets his lies about not being able to get out of bed and starts dancing around the house!

With all this in mind how confident are you there's at least 65% pork in a Diddles £1.00 sausage barm?

Cracking summing up again sluffy, thankyou.

Gaspard: Have now hit the front just at the right time (as planned all along).

Bassini: Courted by KA and PA to put pressure on Gastpard....(but never really a goer) However, a good enough ruse to fool Nicko and FIBS 😉

H Block: Just 'fading' at last minute (as planned). Comment of the week was by H as he neatly chipped the ball into his path "over to you Benny".

If this comes off, got to give huge credit to Gastpard though..........very well played.......actually feel you lot deserve it for all your efforts! 😎

I was told last night by somebody representing some genuine overseas investors who looked at buying the club in the autumn that the financial position is far worse than KA is painting, and that any new owner would have to inject a huge amount of extra cash (over and above the apparent position) to avoid the new owner having to appoint a receiver due to insolvency.

No reputable or sane buyer is going to pay way over the odds to buy and fund the club. Only money launderers are likely to view it worthwhile paying a big premium, and they are unlikely to get past the EFL FPP test.

Don’t shoot the messenger.

I'm 6 hours ahead of majority of everyone else at moment (now I know how Bolty feels) and it's painful feeling so detached from such pivotal moments in our history.

Happy hour starts here just before court is due to sit, good news would go down a treat.

One day we'll look back on all this and laugh.

I find it quite amusing that Anderson's company for buying Bolton is literally called Inner Circle Investments - as he's only interested in investing in his inner circle, which includes Ken and family.

Yes hilarious stuff, I laughed myself to sleep on that last night.
