It Mike James's pension fund which owns the car parks.

I didn't know that.Thanks.

I did notice that there are no investments on PBP's balance sheet but in any event  the reaiity is that the great majority of the club's  capital funding for the last three years has continued to be povided by Wanderers supporters, the late Eddie Davies, Brett Warburton and Michael James with  Eddie later also  providing the money to pay off Blumarble. Meawhile Holdsworth walked off with a small fortune whilst I  strongly suspect that KA may have taken out a similar or greater amount in 2018 exacerbating the cash flow issues that kicked off last summer and that now seem critical.

The future?

Couldn’t resist posting this.

It’s a classic  man in in the pub itk Whatsapp  conversation that I’ve just had with my brother. He’s in Bolton I’m not. He’s Citeh so no opinion one way or the other from him

 Here’s the conversation

Brother:

Just had a chat with ********** ***** in the pub. Wanderers deal in the media is total bollocks. Tabling 3 deals to board on Monday. Expected sale by end of week. 🤔

Me:

What exactly did he say?

 Brother.

The directors had dragged up the details from a previous deal to appease the media until they get one of the 3 new deals over the line.
Tried quizzing him further but he wasn't having it. He'd been at it since 5am and further talks tomorrow.
Funny that cos shouty shouty Jim white talksport were reporting the ghost deal this morning and had McGinley on as he's been banned from the club 😆
What an absolute shambles 🤪

Me;

Totally confused. So was the deal that was reported to go through false?

 Brother:

Yep false deal.
*****  sits in with the board.

Classic man in the pub itk stuff  but my brother has no agenda re BWFC

If what he says is true I’m really confused!!!!

I would be too. There is no board!

Come on Ken, fuck off.

Ha, that's some digging.

Not bad times back in 2011 mind - 22mins for a c50 year old. Presuming it's 5k?

It's a great time, Bolton parkrun one of the tougher ones. Yes a 5k.

That just a hunch or is there more to it?

When are the latest accounts due? Are they late? If they are, might be a reason for that.

A number of reasons:

  1. I believe that 90% of the £525K in 2017 went to Holdsworth and to sort out the Blumarble saga, so why should Holdsworth profit and not KA?
  2. KA sought to justify the £525K on the basis that it included a promotion bonus but said that maintaining Championship status in 2018 was the greater achievement
  3. There was scarcely enough money in 2017 but in 2018 there were funds from the Madine sale
  4. There would be a reported profit in 2018 providing more justification for fees.
  5. KA succeeded in getting a £1million reduction in interest charges which would be  reflected in the 2018 figures.
  6. Given the transfer fee for Madine and the add-ons for Cardiff gaining promotion, we seemed to run out of money a bit too quick in the summer of 2018
  7. There was no guarantee that KA would profit from a sale of his shares, so why not cash in whilst the opportunity arose?
  8. Any agent would probably have expected 10% for negotiating the Madine fee

Last date for filing at Companies House is 31March. So they aren't late but when filed they will tell us about transactions involving directors and therefore likely to provide more rope for the lynch mobs. A reason for KA to keep them under wraps for as long as poss.

I’d expect he will be safely out of the club before accounts are submitted. I’m not expecting him doing us any favours.

The  auditors don't sign them off until the directors do first. So if they've not been signed off before KA disappears over the horizon there could be more  delay. New directors will not be happy about signing off accounts for a period before they took office so they really should get them signed off by KA as part of any deal.

Doing us any favours? No. Especially given the non-stop abuse, muck-raking and no ED around to exercise some influence.

He wouldn’t do us any favours either way. Ken was in it for Ken.

Why would he be in it for anything else? If you were reasonably wealthy, saw an opportunity to improve the situation at Northampton Town which in turn makes you a nice profit, would you be in it for anyone other than Mounts?

Pah, when i were a young 'un Halliwell lads used to regularly take mobs up to Oldhams looking for trouble.

Never met much resistance iirc.

If I had the cash I wouldn’t get involved in any club I didn’t have my heart in. And I’d expect to lose some money not gain.

It will only tell us what went on up to 30th June last year. We won’t find out what he has taken out this last nine months until March next year. Unless the new owners tell us.

I doubt there'd be much scope for taking 2018/19 cash out:

  1. He needed to keep the show on the road to be able to sell a going concern AND
  2. He'd after watch out for the unfair preference rules

Ken's a seasoned pro in these areas

Yes it’s all speculation of course but after the public opinion worsened over the last few months there must have been a temptation to take whatever he could.
