Nixon saying if player wages not paid by the 14th they can walk.

There would be a queue of people to drive them

Iles now saying that they have walked away for sure not ‘rumoured’ to have walked away.

I might be being a bit thick here but if I had a few million quid to buy Ken out would I not just wait until HMRC winds the club up and jump in when iit's at its lowest worth?

Maybe they’ve seen a balance sheet pre due diligence and they’ve understood terms for debts to “funders” Davies Warbies James et al but it’s actually trade creditors that’s causing the problem. so balance sheet said we owe say £3m and now they’ve looked into it and realised it’s all due now along with HMRC - rates etc etc and it’s totally bollox up the funds needed on day one and any cash flow forecasts. What a consortium can’t do is react quickly to something like that if Basran has got to go back to say 5 investors for more funds it gets messy.

its a realistic issue due diligence could bring up.

the more I think about the direct debit thing the more I’m convinced it’s ken tee’ing us up for admin if the deal collapses

When my lad was at the academy a few years ago and we had money issues, one night training was off as they hadn't  got the money to pay the fuel supplier whose fuel was used to power the generator !!

There's a diesel generator in the WSL inside a sound-proof box. Fairly sure it powers the floodlights (i.e. it kicks in when the lights are on.)

Makes you wonder if gas oil generated electricity is cheaper than buying from an electricity supplier.

Article in Times now with headline about locking of academy and crisis. Nothing new really but says deal appears to have fallen through and EFL taking measures to ensure Saturday game goes ahead. Sorry cant post a link but folk taking notice now

The club was supposed to be up for sale debt free. Given the debt is stacking up and ken not paying it may be Basran group thinking we pay Ken 27 million and debt still going to be outstanding and growing.

Nixon not saying they've walked just no deal at the moment, he seems to suggest the price needs to come down for it to proceed. In other words nobody knows what the hell is going on. You'd think parky would have a contact number for Ken and ask him what the bloody is happening, then again maybe not.

I’ll wait until Basran tells everyone what went on.

Usually, people who’ve dealt with Ken are quick to go public and point the finger. I imagine he’ll do the same if KA has acted the cunt.

Well if he saw fit to DM a parody account mid-process I'm sure we'll get warts and all at some point.

If it falls through and Basran tells a version events that doesn't paint Ken in a good light, but Ken does a column where he blames it all on Basran, who would folk believe?

Vince from FGR told everyone what went on but plenty chose not to believe him

There are an uncomfortable amount of people who seem to have massive hard ons about the whole situation on TwitBook.

a steady stream of fans who can’t wait to swing their dicks with the most sarcastic comment, the I-Told-You-So-Now-Suck-Me-Off mouth breather types who’s only “constructive” additions to the debate are a loop of insults and thinly disguised joy at the fact they now have a platform to get some ‘likes’.

it’s pathetic but, as usual, is the norm.

Iles now saying he "senses" they've not completely backed off even though he said they definitely had, probably checked nixons twitter account and changed his mind

I can’t wait to see their tweets when they’re crying on an afternoon that they can’t find a live stream of our game against Spennymoor.

Slightly different, no one gives a fuck about Vince, dribbling 'free pint' idiots aside. He was only after a sizeable fee for a shite player.

This Basran is our potential route out of Ken's austerity measures.

Can't see it, or loads would be doing it. Is our generator for emergency use should leccy fail? For lighting for example so folk could see to get out.

My father in law used to design complete power supply set ups with industry etc. He'll know the comparative costs, so I'll find out.

Aye, but he gave a version of events that suggested what it was like to do business with KA which plenty passed off as comments made in the heat of the moment and didn't want to believe

He had no reason to say it once the deal had collapsed other than to shed light as to what went on, and it only collapsed because of KA, who didn't give a fuck, because his arse is covered, apparently

Hopefully he's not got worked up in the heat of the moment again saying something  daft  and a deal will still go through

Iles is guessing about pretty much everything, as both he and Nixon are well out of the loop.

That's not to say Lies won't get something right, but it's more by luck than judgement.

As for players walking on the 14th, good luck to them, they can't play for anyone this season, as they wren't free agents on Feb 1st.

I'm not sure that's the case traf

Vague recollection there's rules to cover this and they can transfer and play

The training ground that is supposedly shut with all staff sent home has suddenly sprung into life in the last 20-30 minutes - floodlights are on and maybe 30-40 cars have parked up - wondering if its a players meeting ? Anyone know of anything going on down there tonight ?

Training ground or stadium?

Didn't know the training ground had floodlights.

Though, I'm struggling to see where they might pitch up

There's always that.

A couple might get snapped up

The majority are shite so won’t be going anywhere

I reckon the likes of Wheater (and maybe PP) could rally enough of them to stick it out till the end of the season - certainly the ones that have been here a while, and the older ones
