The BWFC Legend - Packy's Funeral

Just been told of an old Bolton Wanderers mate sadly passing away. Known him since childhood and will be missed by all those that knew him at matches.

Talking to Nicola who wanted to know what Packy was like as an early teen. I told her when he played subbuteo at his house, if he was losing, he would withdraw all his players off the pitch and abando

  • That Pompey fan has turned up! Total respect.

What to say, always a great lad, was older than me but always a good bloke to speak too especially away, my world is becoming smaller all the time, see you soon it would appear Paki

Heard similar tonight.

Great guy and bolton to the core.

took me under his wing as yoof and took me on a few of his trips. Even got my first snide stone island off him haha

sleep easy big man.

hope he’s up there having a pint with his old pal ferny right now.

RIP

Sad news a proper Wanderer, saw him at Preston earlier this season was really struggling just to walk, when you remember him in his pomp it was sad to see. RIP Packy.

Top man Alan, worked with him & shared many a day on Fernys tours.... RIP big Al

Sad news :(

The “big grey bear” will be missed

RIP Packy

I’ve only known him for a few years but he was an absolute gent and has been a good friend to my other half and her family over the years. Other half once went watching The Orb in Preston with him because nobody else was daft enough :)

He’ll be sadly missed.

Saw twiggy yesterday and was going to ask about him as I hadn't seen him for a bit

He had moved his seat nearer the front to avoid the struggle up the steps

Sad day

Cracking fella , RIP Packy.

You all know him as paki. He passed away tonight

Rest in peace my friend

Saw him at the Walsall match, he’d lost loads of weight and aged a lot. R.I.P

Sad news indeed. Last saw him in the Balmoral on a visit a few years ago. He was in good form too.

BWFC to the core.

RIP Packy.

RIP

Sad news, knew of him and spoke in passing to him at all sorts of random away games.

RIP, I bet he had some stories.

R.I.P

Top bloke, RIP mate.

Great man Paki, enjoyed his words of wisdom on trips.  His taste of music was weird, but a true gentleman, will be joining a fair few Manny Road Northers upstairs sadly.  R.I.P Pal

Condolences to all who had the pleasure of knowing Paki, lovely fella

RIP fellow Wanderer.

Looked after me in some of my states when I was younger.

A real gent.

Thoughts are with the G's today.

Paki has been a constant in Wanderers' away support in all the years i've been going - thick & thin .

This season i've chatted with him at a couple of the away games & though he was a bit frail he was always cheerful & good company.

The loss of a real Wanderers' fan & very sad news.

RIP

RIP Packi, spent a lot of time with him in th 70's and 80's, he always had your back, top bloke

Anybody knowing Pakis legendary sense of direction will know it might take him a while to get there but it'll be a fair old piss up when he does.

RIP Packy! Travelled up to 'Boro with him and his van load (including Miggy - RIP) for the legendary Gavin McCann victory. Proper good day out. We stopped in Boroughbridge on the way back. Top fella. Did some right old organising for tickets and away travel for so many people.

Really nice bloke Packy and a Wanderer through and through.

Sleep well pal, you’ll be missed.
