How come you can still buy tickets on line.?????

Because Ticketmaster’s online system isn’t run using BWFC’s internal IT.

Sure it’ll be fixed before any deadline. Community day after all

Trying to work out if a 0730 decision means they're confident

Just had a look at Tractorboysways. It seems the majority of travellers are on the 07.45 (ish) out of Ipswich and the travel-club coaches leave at 07.30.

Used to live in Ipswich. Lovely place to live, if a bit dull, and the women are minging.  4hrs drive tops from Ipswich at 730 on a saturday. 5.5hrs on a coach with stops.

The tweet was sent via a computer at the stadium... on the broken network 👀

They haven’t said it’s a network failure.

You'd assume being a 'critical' IT failure, the network itself would be pretty key to that.

A girl who works at the club posted on Facebook that systems were down all day. People have posted on here that could not buy tickets.

Could've accessed the web via a mobile, the mobile network isn't affected by anything going on with BWFC's own system?

"Twitter web client" means from a desktop

IT system down doesn't mean no internet though, and it could've been sent from any desktop, anywhere

Generator test caused an overload of the system that the server is on  that runs the alarms, phones , security entrances systems and all that kind of stuff.

Just been talking to someone who works in maintenance at the stadium, what he said and showed me texts off his team stating what’s wrong here and there and what they are are doing next.

They will be there all night apparently

Incorrect. It would have said 'sent from Web App'

That tweet has been sent from a desktop computer.

Anyway, it was just an observation, Ken probably sent it from his bedroom.

Any idea of whether it will be done and game will be on?

None whatsoever , just what I was told was wrong.

It's very easy to connect a desktop pc to the web via a mobile sim.

Correct.

I run a PC off a mobile sim at the caravan.

Yep, you can get nifty little routers that give you wifi via a mobile sim too. Or laptops with slots for sims, they'd also let you tweet using the mobile app without issue. Given that the comms dept will often be with the club on the road they should have plenty of options for getting online where wifi isnt available.

Really though its just as likely that a member of the comms team is working from home and tweeting from there too.

Three do a Homefi hub with unlimited data for £22 a month for anyone with a caravan,  pied a terre etc.

There you go Ken, just don't let on it's for business use - better use a different address than the UniBol 😏

Couldn't get a strong enough signal from Three at mine.
