U14s- you sure? A bold statement. I do agree though, the comparative lack of physicality makes it less of an attraction. I find the women's cricket more interesting. If Harry Kane said he wanted £100k to play in a tournament for England we'd probably want to give it him because if he plays well & we progress it boosts the game, the country, sponsorship, TV ratings and inspires kids to take up the game. So you can do both, just dont go to BW cup games to compensate! I'm a fairweather cricket fan, I'll go if its sunny if I've nothing else on, but it can never replace football, it doesnt make me angry or brassed off. Much as I'll enjoy some of the current World Cup games, there isn't the passion in either any other sport or watching any other team than BW. The two are always going to be compared and it would be an interesting encounter to see the England women’s team against, say, a League Two team, certainly from a technical and tactical point of view. Women's football, cricket or rugby should stand alone as what it is. Don't use the men's game as a rule of thumb to measure it against. Do you compare the gender gap in tennis?
