Why doesn’t he just Fuck off, the cretin

I’d rather watch the kids running through walls get beat every week 5 or 6 than what he swerved up last season with pro’s who didn’t give a fuck

Why do we need a senior manager if we are playing kids? Fuck off Parky

Congratulations on the most stupid post in  1000 pages. Parky does not deserve that.

Your really missing the point. The kids know they are inexperienced and up against it but they are giving everything they have got. With the fans behind them its heaven playing first team football much earlier than they could imagine. Its not humiliating them at all; in fact its the opposite its giving them confidence without fear.

We are going to lose most games until we get some more senior players in but we have to play

It's not going to be heaven if one of them ends up with a long term injury though is it ? I imagine that they would be on statuatory sick pay if that happened as there's no money to provide decent insurance at the moment. If I was playing and getting thrashed every week I don't think my mindset would be "not to worry, it's confidence building".

Who the hell is suggesting we don't play? PISS OFF

Care of duty to the kids? PISS OFF! you bunch of snowflakes! Tell 15 yr old Franny Lee if he wanted a care of duty!

We are where we are & it's not great, nor ideal, but I'll bet you a penny to a pinch of shit those lads are loving every minute of this opportunity. Remember when you were a kid? You were playing everyday, school, local club, county, academy! Care of duty..PISS OFF.

I'd rather watch them men/kids giving it there all, than the Shite I've watched supposed professionals dish up in the last 6 years plus.

I've started enjoying football again, they've gave 100% so I'll give them 100% support back. There's 5 Lads out of those playing recently that I think are good enough for their chance & will build over the next couple of years or so. I've watched worse supposed professional sides than that, some folk have short memories. Last year I left games after we went 1-0 down, because it WAS game over. This year so far, I've stopped to the end everytime to applaud them off.

If you don't understand why.... No need to apply

Was Franny Lee surrounded by other Kids or men in their twenties/thirties ? By the way, it's not the 60s/70s now. Care of Duty didn't exist back then. If one of our kids gets a career ending injury just see how fucked the Club gets for that. We are getting fucked over. Bury - games suspended. If they get taken over and get a squad together they are starting their season in a better position than us. I can't imagine they will get any additional points deducted as it's the EFL stopping them from playing.

It's time for a bit of REALISM Mounts, this is far from ideal but it is what it is! When you finally come back from Spain & get back in the bubble you'll remember those Shite collapsing days of the 80's. You can choose, like then, to get behind the troubles we are having or live in la la land of previous expectations & call it a day!

I know you're not like that. If you can get past the hurt of the last couple of defeats & face adversity face on & give the support the club & town deserves, you'll feel a passion again thats not been seen for many a year.

What do you really think calling games off will achieve? A lot bloody worse than battling through with the current situation.

REALISM! you can whinge & moan about shit you have no control over, or you can accept what it is & celebrate even the smallest triumph like a 0-0 against Coventry at home, the choice is yours

Oh I’ll be there alright will support the kids, but it’s an absolute disgrace what’s been asked of them and if coaching staff and manager decide they won’t subject the lads to more beatings I’ll back them 100%.

I know it might not feel that way to some, but i think what we are actually experiencing is the rebirth of out football club.

The bond between the football club and the fans is healing. Slowly yes, but very surely.

Results really really don't matter at the moment.

Are you 100% confident they are uninsured and if so where did you get this info from?

Or are you just speculating? Not that I have a problem with speculation as long as I know it's speculation rather than fact.

And would you apply the same logic re detriment to mindset to the seasoned professionals that were playing for us last season and getting thrashed every week? I didn't hear many folk saying "get off Clayton Donaldson's back - it's not his fault because his mindset has been damaged because of us losing all the time".

Resolve to learn, improve and do better next time is a highly desirable characteristic in a footballer so I would see this experience as character building and I doubt any of this lot will grow up to be overpaid prima donnas.

It is amazing how polarised debates get on here. Even when everyone wants the same thing. ( No wonder the Brexit thread is nearly as long as takeover thread).

We are playing 16/17 year olds against experienced pros and we have smaller numbers. Bearing in mind Parky did not want to play Connel for 90 minutes last season is it any surprise he is now concerned about the impact on these lads?

Apparently he contacted the EFL about postponing the game ( is this true ?). But if the note said ‘what would be the impact on the club of postponing this game ?  We are playing junior players as we are committed to fulfilling our fixtures but are concerned about the integrity of the league and the long term impact on the young lads.’  Would that be the craziest thing ever ?

The kids have been wonderful but they are kids. We are not playing them for their development, it is just so we have players on the pitch.

The fact is that the takeover needs to happen. FV apparently have a business plan that covers next two years and we have to assume that involves having at least 20 senior players.

As well sticking together during games we need to support those people who are currently doing the most to keep the club afloat ; the kids, the fans, the staff (including Parky).

Of all the stories around the club and people sticking their oar in Parky has been the one who has spoken most passionately and with real understanding about the club needs.

It was always going to happen - the young lads in the lions den.

but we can’t just stop playing, we need to keep going until it’s sorted and try and scrap for everything that we can.

we have a club, we are breathing and yes we are getting beat, but we are trying our hardest, but it will get better.

all we can do is get behind them and show everyone that Bolton will never die.

Going off what Traf and Casinos younguns are saying we carry on, they seem to be in the correct mind set, and I’m loving the away following mentality too.   These games are showing our kids what they have to do to get a full professional contract and be able to compete, they’re experiencing it first hand.   That won’t be doing them any harm at all in the long run,  Harry Brockbank was delighted to be made captain, what a buzz for him eh.    if we do sign more players i hope the young guns do a lap of honour with the team at the end of the season so we can thank them from the stands, i for one won’t be leaving the stadium early as per usual anyhow.  Supera Moras.

I didn't say they are not insured, I said decent insurance, and that is why Senior Players didn't want to risk playing at a guess. Get injured, no chance of a new club and no big payout either. Regarding your comment about Donaldson it's water off a ducks back to a useless fuck like him. I am talking about young lads at the very start of their career not donkeys at the end who are just in it for a pay check every week. Plus, we weren't getting dicked 5-0 every game last season, and I know we aren't at the moment, but four games and 12 goals shipped, the avaerage of 3 per game is going to increase for sure.

You're right and wrong at the same time. Bringing in one lad or two maybe in to a team of seasoned professionals is how 99.9% of players get to experience the start of their career as a professional footballer. Bringing in one or two seasoned professionals (at a push with our players) in to the youth team and then playing that team against League teams is absolutely wrong. Yes, we don't have a choice unless we request games to be postponed, but if at the end of all this Bury still exist and don't get further point deductions, we, Bolton have been fucked over. Also, the only players we can sign will be freebies and loan players. Most players even remotely capable of helping us are already assigned. Even the losers we had last season have found new clubs, so what hope for us in reality ?

We didn’t have any senior players in our team for Coventry, our best result yet.  As long as these lads have the guts, they’re first teamers, they’ve played together before and know each other’s game.   In reply to your last sentence, our hope is that somebody buys our club and allows them in charge of the footballing side to build something, there’s not going to be miracles overnight, worth watching.  The club hasn’t been able to sign a single player yet, let’s see what happens after the inks dry on the sale firstly then go on from there.   None of us know what’s around the corner, as do players who may want to sign for the club, we ain’t going to attract anyone at all if we postpone games left, right and centre.

done £90 in 3 home games for me & lad, without the instalments some will feel the strain

Struck me yesterday that after Ipswich we'll be 3 weeks into the season and have already spent nearly a third of an under 18 season ticket on my lad going,, and one of his sisters will have also done a couple.

Even at a tenner a pop that trebles the cost of going to all the home games for a young un and like you say some will start to feel that and have to start to pick and choose.

Obviously we are where we are, glad to still have a club etc etc but it is still a real issue.

As harsh as it sounds the team and an management need to be better. Concentrate on football matters. Improve every week. Try and find a system which works better. Not fucking long ball, which again we seemed to have resorted too. Even if it is in the channels to chase. Passing the ball breeds confidence. Yes we may make mistakes but I'd take that now.

I've backed parky thorough this, and maybe he is just trying to buy time from the EFL, but requesting to postpone is bollocks. Do your job man.

Whilst they continue with outstanding attitude on the pitch, they will continue to be supported.

Saving grace is the away tickets have averaged a quid a kid. My lads done them all, and we are planning on taking his mate next time. He's a Liverpool fan... Not for long.

It’s costly and unfortunately some will have to pick and choose home games it all adds up, it just highlights how important the payment plans are for our support

but like you say at least we are still around

Yes, these are young kids but I don't think any team has had support like they are getting

5 down and still everybody cheering them on

Proud to be a wanderer

This is exactly how it should be. Same as Bowton’s Remarks.

My point is that eventually the integrity of the league is likely to be in the spotlight. That’s when I fear we may be postponed without any say in the matter.

The payment plans have been important but also the season tickets have been really good value. £21 a pop in North lower becomes £483 for the season, significantly more than last season's ticket. It will be tough to maintain crowds on the much inflated costs. Even more so for the kids tickets.

Aye price wise great I’m happy paying £30 for me & lad, but I know many who will struggle with that especially if it falls on 3 home games in a month

Just hope if it all gets sorted very soon

The last time I read up on this (2017 I think) there were around 12000 kids on academy and scholarship contracts with English professional clubs. Most have intensive training 4 times a week from the age of 8 or 9.

Less than 1% of the under 16s registered with clubs end up becoming professional footballers so the kids we have out there have already come through a brutal selection process, are as fit as a butcher's dog and are under no illusion as to what is required of them.

IMO there are 3 possible key reasons for them getting battered: they aren't yet fully formed physically, the tactics are wrong for this group or that they just aren't good enough.

It's clear that some of them still have some growing to do physically and mentally and that will come with time, patience and opportunity but they should theoretically be OK tactically and positionally after years of training and playing competitive games together which begs the question are they good enough?

And the answer to that is I don't know but what I do know is that as long as we keep giving them opportunities to play, we'll sort the wheat from the chaff early doors AND we become a very attractive proposition to better quality young players who are not getting opportunities with e.g. Premiership clubs and top clubs around the world so IMO it's a harsh process/strategy but one that has a decent chance of rebuilding a solid foundation for the future on a limited/non-existent budget.

Parky kicking off about EFL, Admins & FV. Thinks we shouldn’t have played.

For those ego are apoplectic about Parky wanting the game off so write to the EFL, you needed to read the article rather than react to someone's version.

He's said to the league

“Honestly, it is unacceptable. This is Bolton Wanderers Football Club – a fantastic club with great history and we need a bit of help. If it is not going to be sold we need to be able to bring some players in. We can’t have this type of scenario thrown at us.

That doesn't mention getting the game postponed. He wants to get players in to help.

Losing 5-0 and 5-2 in the last two games tells us collectively the present available players cannot compete at this level (especially against 2 shit teams) but the effort is excellent and some of this group will come through this and challenge for a first team place once we bring in senior players.

The so called senior players last season where mostly shit houses and unfortunately PP did not bring any youth into the side until it was too late and relegation was inevitable. I believe Murphy and Lowe have the losing, head down mentality and should be shoved to one side when eventually we get some experienced players in.

If the sale drags on another month we will be too far away from the pack but if something happens soon we have half a chance of finishing 19th or 20th with a blend of these kids and some pros who know this level.
