None of us know what the plan will be to finish the season.

However, we're going down anyway, so I wouldn't retain any of the senior players that we don't plan to have next season.

Let them go on 30th June, or whatever it is, save the wages & play the youngsters again.

Who cares if we get battered, it's a shitshow of a season anyhow, whatever reason.

Its not surprising but still worrying. I'd happily buy a ST for next season if it would help them. We're going to need to help keep the club alive.

I’m not sure it’s worrying. I’d be more worried if they hadn’t come to this decision.

I bet Ken would of loved furlough, I bet he wouldn’t of passed it on. Unlucky ken

More the statement itself with them saying this is the hardest thing they've had to navigate and the warning of job losses.

We're arguably in a more vulnerable position in many ways - we will need a complete squad rebuild before next season as we have about 4 signed on for a critical season. And if we limp through it could be a very rough ride.

Not surprising and we will absolutely not be alone in this. As a business I'd hope we've enough scale and scope to survive. On the pitch....it looks a different story.

There will be many clubs in a worse financial position throughout all this than us

I still worry that any club going into admin may get preferred treatment by EFL because of exceptional circumstances. Despite the fact that many clubs were in the shit way before the Corona lockdown.

There may be - but I suspect we'll be amongst the worst hit. New owners who aren't here to bankroll. Large staff. Large running and operating costs relatively. No squad for next season. Its not a great position. In the plus corner our owners will do what they can and are professional.

They should get preferential treatment for exceptional circumstances.

Well, yes

But its a very difficult one

If youre 99.9% of the way there, pre CV, to get a clean slate wouldnt be fair, either

Who is 99.9% of the way there though? For reference that is suggesting a club is seconds from ruling type of thing.

We could lose our historical pyramid over this. I’m not one for the football family but I even felt gutted for Bury when they went bump.

I think it would be extremely pedantic to be grilling what percentage occurred before and after the virus.

It may be time to give amnesty to get the house in order.

But not to Bolton or Bury because they got there first?

We all know of clubs who were being reported as being "very close" to going the same way. So if they'd actually gone the same way a few weeks ago they'd be getting their -12 and whatever other punishments the EFL hand out. Now they can blame the whole shebang on Corona the folk involved in mismanaging the clubs get to walk away unpunished? Doesn't sit right somehow.

In reality the 'football family' didn't give a shit about us when we were struggling to put out a team at the beginning of the season and many clubs/ fans would have seen Bury as one less relegation places to worry about.

We had the points deducted and transfer embargo applied for a crook owner so if clubs cant get through this without administration then fuck them.

Each to their own but it wouldn’t bother me. Macc and Southend are struggling but don’t know if any others who were weeks a way from admin. Clubs have £0 revenue coming in. It’s a unique scenario

I dislike the football family stuff more than most.

I liked clubs being arsed about us as it meant we mean something to many and I’d of been more upset if teams/fans rallied round for us.

If Macc went in admin I’d struggle to raise an emotion. Like I said above each to their own.

Some local clubs did take pity on BWFC and donated money to pay the staff or donated food for them, Preston and Everton were 2 of the clubs mentioned
