Right, made myself a cup of tea and sat down for an afternoon of racing

I've had the following bets

Betfred

15.00Threat 2/1

15.35 10 Sovereigns @ 7/4

Skybet

14.25 Stradivarius & 15.35 10 Sovereigns Double 11/4

14.25 Stradivarius, 15.00 Treat & 15.35 Battaash (in case 10 sovereigns doesn't win) 10/1

Total spent £350, when the final race is over, I shall walking to the York hotel where I shall be drinking until I soil myself

I'd love to know why Battaash doesn't run like that everytime, absolutely unbeatable. Course record too

Anyhow, good day at the bookies

He hates travelling, he hates going into the stalls and isn't always keen on racing.

However, when he's in the mood, he's fucking unstoppable.

He stayed at his stables overnight, travelled this morning and was saddled up before he got to the course. Seems it did the trick.

Getting changed at home reminds me of Tranmere away, back in the day...

Think it’s been half him growing up and half Hills’ team getting to the bottom of him. Last season’s Nunthorpe aside, he’s still been hard to crib, though it would have been more interesting with Blue Point in the race.

As it was, if you’d bet according to adjusted OR today (taking out the horse running over five for the first time), I think you’d have hit the Trifecta.

Piece of piss in hindsight, obvs.

While I’m here, nobody’s shouting about it but are O’Brien’s not running a bit flat at the minute? If anything, I’d say Japan’s run in the Juddmonte the other day could be marked up based on yard form, even if I do think Doyle might have ridden Crystal Ocean differently in a do-over.

Soz, my pub mates haven’t turned out so I’m in the pub on my own.
