Burndens Bogs Posted March 11, 2020 Share Posted March 11, 2020 (edited) I had nothing against Chicksen as such, but he was our full back when we got beat 6-1 at Rotherham, our 3-1 home defeat to Rochdale , our 7-1 defeat at Accrington, the 2-0 defeat at Rochdale and the 3-4 home defeat to Burton. 22 goals shipped in, in 5 games. I realize the rest of our defence (which chopped and changed many times) didn't exactly cover themselves in glory in those 5 games,i also realise Chicksen didn't have many out+out 'mares, but i certainly remember him being torn a new one a good few times. I just prefer Fleming there tbh and it might be a coincidence, but i think we've yet to take a battering with him playing at full back. He has pace, can dribble, can get defenders back pedalling, he’s far from the finished article but that might help us to sign him next season, played right he’s an asset at this level.
