Amazing that we didn’t tap into that Danish/Scandy market a bit more . Very good technical players, Committed and very professional lads, they very rarely moaned if not selected.

What’s more surprising is that other clubs didn’t go down the same path. Our pick of Icelandic players alone was incredible given their (lack of) standing internationally at the time.

I think that Scandy/Danish route is something that could still be explored even now. Their players don’t seem to have that “Billy big Bollocks” attitude that some of out British players have and like i said earlier, they are very committed professionals and very good technically. Wolves have done it with the Portuguese lads,  maybe we could do it with the  young Danish/Swedish/Norwegian and Icelandic fellas.Got to be better than the kids/bids and journeymen we’re using now ffs.

Interesting point. Also that’s if you could sell division 4 to these chaps.

Not sure if there’s anything to read into with this but if they’re starting coaching playing out from the back it could be an indication of what FV are looking to build long term, what with Tobias Phoenix saying about how you should know what a Bolton team plays like at every age group...

Playing out from the back is all well & good when you have players that are comfortable with the ball at their feet... Won't have many of those int 4th Division next season 🤔

Doesn’t seem to be many in the current team...

Scroll down on that to the picture of Youri. A bit of a resemblance to Chino. Does our manager fancy himself as a Gallic hero?

Youri Djorkaeff & Keith Justfuckoff... 😊

No, it's the other way round.

Next lesson will be entitled "Fuck, that didn't work, let's just hoof it from our own box."

Not forgetting the supplemental module 'how to ensure there's no other player within 20yrds of the target man', otherwise that's a whole load of training wasted

Will they be employing people to stand at the side and start booing when someone doesn’t pass forward immediately?

No pass on. So passes backwards to retain possession.

BOOOOOO

You can virtually guarantee with this Bolton side that whenever it goes backwards we're about to lose it. Its league one - and we're miles off being close to good enough to retain the ball and be effective.
