Regarding Gardner , I think anybody who makes 400+ appearances for your club in my eyes is a club legend , and even though he blossomed at left back / wing back , he was part of a great Wanderers era . Personally my favourite moment was the play off final goal , I was still getting my breath back after Ricketts goal and he scores a goal worthy of any final . Steve Thompson , Phil Brown ,Jules Darby , Jimmy Phillips, in my eyes are club Legends on pretty much that basis , none of them were world beaters but they all racked up a lot of games and served the club well. Remember Alan Hansen having an orgasm over his wonderful defending in a game at Arsenal. His freekick vs Newcastle at the Reebok was incredible His cross for Stelios vs Arsenal at the Reebok was as good a cross you could see His goal vs Bayern made the C5 commentator laugh almost in disbelief that we actually scored there Although Ricketts settled the game vs Preston in Playoff, Gardner stole the highlights, wonderful goal. My recollection was that Jussi was a decent commander of his 18 yard box when he first arrived but had this ability to use all of his area coached out of him so he rarely ventured out of his six-yard box.
