Cheers.

I'm not massively into the prospect of going, but Junior has an inset day (poor teachers need a day off after 7 days back in) on the Wednesday, so it gives her an ideal opportunity of ticking another ground off, especially as likely to be our only away of the month.

I'm in Paris next weekend and Shrewsbury has a good chance of being off.

We're obviously tied by the fact that she's in school until 3.15pm on the Tuesday, but if anyone fancies giving us a lift...

I think we could get there by train (4.07pm from Todmorden, she says), but getting home is problematic.

Lincolnways in meltdown as Bolton fans daughters teachers get a day off after just 7 days back.

"We should just give their teachers three points" said one irate Imp.

"Typical cheating bastards" whined another.

Surely we should get the points if they can’t play 2 games on the same day.

lets bang on about it for 12 months

I'm sure Arsenal once played cup and league matches on the same day around 1897, but it hasn't happened since.

Edit: Found it - 12 December 1896, beat Leyton (not Orient) 5-2  in FA Cup Q4 and lost 8-0 to Loughborough in Div2.

40mph winds forecast for during the game. Politic to score from his own penalty area.

Was just thinking about the prospect of a postponement: savage out at the moment.

If it was, and we signed some more in the meantime, they'd be going bonkers.

Last night round here the weather was actually worse than it was at any time in the days leading up to postponement. Much clearer today but the wind is going to cause an issue.

At least the wind will dry the pitch a bit

Do you think the game might be off ?

If so, on the plus side I could bore people for years about the season i went to Lincoln twice & it was postponed both times a la Hereford, & we might sign more players before it's played just to send the thick twats into hysteria, but overall it would be a pain if it was off again.

Just had a look on the met office web site. Focussed on Lincoln.

Yellow weather warning for wind, and the percentage chance of rain shoots up to over 90 between 7.00pm and 9.00pm.

Prior to kick off rain chance is ~60%.

If you're anywhere near the front of the stand, make sure you take a good coat.
