If we're getting points knocked off - can Sunderland have a few deducted as well? Seen as it was Parky's decision and all that?

They had numerous deducted just by appointing the useless cunt

Crikey! This is a bit like Brexit. The folk who are there to make decisions decided not to and instead asked someone else to do it for them. (Govt. asked the people, EFL asked the Independent Panel) Neither liked the result so went out of their way to destabilise it.

I'm afraid it's back to Fuck the EFL

If the EFL lose their appeal, do we get upgraded to a 3 point bonus?

The EFL don't make these decisions they appoint a panel to do it. Unless they have a set penalty (like the -12 points for an insolvency event). So this is their process.

And I guess its only fair both sides can appeal the outcome. But they need to release the decision in full and their grounds for appeal. Surely to god we need to see that - otherwise its behind closed doors corruption.

Becoming an absolute farce this, wont the EFL now just drag out re-arranging our fixture with Doncaster till they get there appeal heard. Not going to do us any favours what so ever

All this respect for Andy Holt can go out the window as well, look at his latest tweet, utter bellend!

Wigan fan moaning about it to me last night. Like most that open their mouths she didnt have a clue what she was talking about. Wigan fans though they really do fucking hate us

24 hours ago we would have all settled for no points deduction but give Doncaster the 3 points.  I'd still settle for that, and given a nil starting point from the independent panel, I cant see an appeal resulting in more than either a 3 point penalty and replay it, or forfeit that game.  Its still game on, compare that to where we were after the Rochdale defeat.  Let's just get on with it, we have a season we didnt think was possible a month ago.

Given we don't know what the EFL were asking for - I think that's a bit presumptuous. For all we know they may have asked for a 12 point per match deduction. The thing is that the EFL's speed to decide to appeal would suggest the punishment is way way off what they were pushing for.

Balls to giving Donny 3 points. If they want them - earn them. I'd rather have 3 taken off us and play the game

Why the fuck would we give Doncaster the points? EFL set the precedent (or president) in relation to the Brentford game and we simply used that as a reason to postpone the Doncaster game.

the only reason they want the points is they know full well to a man we will turn them over at their place and our place.

it’s a shambles this but whatever happens we’re on our way back!

Ugh, I was buzzing last night, I was thinking surely the EFL won’t appeal this. Even Marc Iles seemed to suggest it -

Hopefully there can be some sort of compromise and they don’t get a separate panel to make a new decision. 3 point deduction or forfeit the Doncaster game would work for me.

who are they appealing to though? The panel? The FA? FIFA? The EFL themselves?

Such shambles, no transparency

Independent panel has looked at it & decided what punishment we should have, now that should be the end of it. Not Bolton or Doncaster have decided this.. no chance should they get 3 points now. Disgrace the EFL have appealed this decision fuck me we have -12 points already plus you had Shaun Harvey saying Ken was a great owner to Bolton. All these other teams want us down & influencing the EFL decisions it's a simple as that

Fuck the EFL

BASTARDS

Andy Holt on twitter taking the piss is just going to wind our not rights up for tomorrow ...idiot.

Does anyone know who was on this independent panel

Not sure but apparently John Aldridge and Steve Bull are on the independent panel for the appeal

Don't get this degrading the competition when we have already been deducted 12 points. Let's face it, it's other League 1 clubs stirring the shit.

Cant see where he is taking the piss but not read everything he has said

After being over the moon last night I am so fucking angry with that EFL lot; how much pain can they put on us.

With Barry Knight the third one and Mike Riley as reserve.

Wasn't it the EFL that appointed this Independent Commission and presumably determined its membership?

It'll be a sickener if we're given a points deduction on appeal...they'll probably press for K. Anderson, L. Anderson and S. Harvey to form the new board...

Wankers - the EFL, the journos and twittertwats and all the two-bob club owners/staff/supporters who are chiming in, pissed off they've not had a free swing and/or there are (or were) three relegation spots up for grabs again...

Said this before what does this show to anyone who's wanting to buy a club which have been badly run, surely they will be less reluctant to buy a club as the EFL can punish from any point from previous bad management. Most thought Sharon etc.. knew what punishment we was getting but it doesn't seem like that's the case.

Got off lightly there trotters, hope other clubs are treated as well....Oppppssss!!
