If anyone goes and have a look at the size of the continued operation and construction in and around the stadium and training grounds as well as the other affiliated teams across the world you’ll see that owners are going nowhere and are in it for the long haul

Aye.

I also reckon the infrastructure and associated stuff makes them less of a money sink than a club which has money chucked purely at the team.

Companies buying in surely points to something being done right on the business front.

I’m biased because I work for them but honestly the work they are doing with Manchester City council to help less fortunate people, homeless, schools and charities, they’re really invested into the city and community and have already made big strides this isn’t to make a quick buck.

Most of those places are in tameside. I don't think he was really talking about them with "East Manchester" to be fair. Can be no doubt that a lot of money has been invested around the stadium.

Fair enough. The city centre to Ashton is an urban sprawl I would class as East Manchester.Wine bars and restaurants don't line the streets, it hasn't been gentrified like some other areas of Manchester despite City having a ground there and being worth nearly £4 billion

Give it time Rog. Once the jobs come, and money filters down, it will be like Vegas.

Saudis, Russians and all manner of wealthy individuals pouring money into casinos and high class housing.

Scrotes will have to relocate to Trafford.

The only hope is yon fella getting bored after not winning the champions league and pulling the plug.

They’re still a long way off United or Liverpool etc in terms of world wide revenue imo

Good luck to them. Seems they are worth more than the scum now too.

Life is much better with them winning stuff than the vermin. Anyone who says different I won’t even dignify with a response.

The global football ‘brand’ they’ve pulled together is nothing short of genius.

Built on sand (or oil) in my opinion, no way on earth the money chucked at it can ever be recouped and therefore it will at some stage go pop. Might be 20 years but it will.

Another way of looking at it is this.

The sheikhs have sold a 10% share of the group for the equivalent of the transfer fees for two top players. When you look at it that way, the group is possibly undervalued at 373 billion.

For year ending 2018 City made 10 million from increased turnover off 500 million, that’s with the best manager in the world running the club and with them winning the league, it only takes a couple of seasons with no trophy or a change in manager to change fortunes drastically (as we found out) a 10 million profit can quickly turn into loss, no way on earth the club/group worth 373 billion never mind more.
