Noticed flitcroft chatting heartily with him at full time. Presumably he'll be on a contract so that would rule us out of tapping him up.

Second half, I thought Bridcutt did really well against their striker(s).

We clearly struggle on set pieces and I was a bit surprised they didn't try putting more crosses in.

Sorry, born in Oldham but played at bury as a youngster I believe

Prob worked together

First 30 minutes absolutely dog shit

Then for some reason we started to press and work the ball

If dodoo hadn't scored when he did the atmosphere would of turned a bit nasty as fans were already beginning to get pissed off with the shite being dished out me being one of them

This. Far too passive early doors, same against Wimbledon. Seem wary of pressing and going forward as a team.

Cant agree about verlinden being the best player; a threat and a willing runner for 'out balls' but we need more end product from him. Crosses in a little earlier maybe.

You need to sit in the lower tier

I didnt understand why they had someone who could put a long throw in and only used it twice all game.

Would like to see their number 7 up too for us. Like a mixture of Kevin Davies and Lee Trundle for the lower leagues.

Agree 100% checked him out he’s Oldham lad, scored 10 in 18 and only 22 exactly the type we need.

He's a soft cunt, thinks he's Liam Gallagher of the lower league manager association.... does he have a pair of leather gloves or is he a mittens man?

No gloves hard as fuck

gillet so he will do for me

A wins a win for me sick of losing all the time I don't understand why he plays Bridcutt at the back he either plays centre mid or he doesn't play at all. Needs to stick with Wright and Earl's and hopefully they will get a good partnership together.

We miss Crawford and need similar in the window.

Cannavaro is 5’7

Bridcutt isn’t a CB but it’s not because of his height.
Hes just much better in the middle of the park with the ball on the deck

I would have taken a 1-0 95th min shit flicker winner, but we scored three good goals and conceded two shite ones.

It’s everything to do with his height he’s played at centre half at Accrington and today and lost dozen plus headers a few goals and given countless free kicks away in dangerous areas. Poor management continuing with Bridcutt at centre back.

Can’t be arsed criticising anyone today. Players or manager. It’s a win

On the basis of who we are, where we are at, what resources we have, the fact that we started the season on -12, the fact that we WILL get relegated this year, and the fact that goals have been a bit of a rarity, I’ve walked away fairly happy

The season’s a write-off. Just enjoy the win

Whose negative comments don't you get, our collective observations or yours?

The centre back situation is an observation not a negative criticism. Hobbs’ injuries have highlighted just how threadbare our squad is and what we have to deal with.

With Matthews, I’m wondering if we have an alternative worth trying. He was really poor today. WTF is up with Alnwick anyway? Is Alexander worth trying again?

We know that we’re not good enough but, fuck me, I can’t believe how much people were booing today.

What’s I’m saying is, it’s not about height what makes a good centre back, it’s an advantage absolutely but speed and strength and the reading the game is more important.

At this level you’re gonna get plenty of target men, so height would help but overall he’s not a centre back.

Not sure Matthews is one of our biggest problems.

Could he have dealt with the corner for the goal?

Maybe.

He was pretty decisive on crosses thereafter.

Caught well and punched well.

More concerned that someone had a free header 6 yards out.

Just my opinion but I think he is better than Alnwick.

Fair point and he was a class act for sure, but for every Cannavaro there are thousands of very capable central defenders over 6ft tall.

I might be old school, but i just prefer central defenders to have height.

Just had a look at the table. The form was the thing of interest. We're better than those above us, until Rochdale, who have the same level over 5 games.

A number of games in hand and a heavy schedule over Christmas.

Not playing particularly well but still outperforming our nearest rivals. It's weird, and certainly not relegated yet.

Different match day experience today taking the little one for her first game and she loved it which made my day, but we didn’t half make hard work of that. I need to see the goals again but it looked like the keeper could have come for the 1st and was napping for that 2nd. I’ve never really been comfortable with him, but the recent run of free headers hasn’t helped him much. All 3 of our goals were decent.

Anyway a wins a win, onwards and upwards.

They booed at around 35 mintes  because up to then we were fucking woeful.

And whether your earlier points were criticisms or observations your question had been why the negativity. Your points were negative.
