He was excellent. Didn't know he was a local lad. Clearly not a white the way he was carrying on.

I didn't till s shrew told me pre match

Played for Chelsea youth and then Leicester

So, every chance he moved away young

If you applauded Lowe off the pitch after that tackle you’ve got a big bag of catshit where your brain should be. He clearly has big plans for NYE, there’s no other explanation.

Norburn bossed it for them

Darcy excellent for us.

Burton beaten but Accy today so no reason we can’t win on Wednesday. I expect a draw, like.

3 unbeaten

Darcy was excellent, so might be off soon

Hill’s subs are sometimes a bit strange

Anyone in WSL get a good view of the challenge on Earl late on? Looked from NSL that he launched in to it but crowd didn’t react much on that side.

Was it by their 23 on Chicksen or am I confused, looked like it was done with intent that one.

Wonder if anyone had a bet on number of drop balls in a game, can't remember seeing that many ever in one game.

Yeah that was the one - being so far away to misidentify our player was why I wanted a second opinion as much as owt else 😊

It looked like a shocker from the north lower.  Certainly he looked out of control, I was flabbergasted the ref didnt even give it as a foul

Not sure if the above reveals much on that front but he obviously takes an interest in us at least

Yeah that’s what I was enquiring about somewhere with a nearer view really as it was pretty unanimous around me in NSL that it should have been a red.

Pretty sure met this lad few years back at mottram hall he’s been released by Leicester and spotted my BWFC tattoo and had good chat with him, he was training with the scouse centre half who’s at palace. Just remembered his name (Scott Dann)

Excellent point considering we were down to 10 men for over 35 minutes. Shocking tackle by Lowe and a straight red 100%, no eye contact when he walked past Hill & Flitcroft after the red.

Matthews superb double save, thought Chickson was great when he came on for Bridcutt, Earl had a great game but Darcy MOM for me.

We were off the foot of the table for half hour today .

We appeared to be but forget all this real time stuff, only final results count towards league table (apart from EFL executive decisions!).

Don’t fancy their chances in Bolton town centre on a Sunday afternoon.

Never known Shrewsbury up for it before, it was lambs to the slaughter on Churchgate.

Tell the class fella.

Not saying much, i was quizzed off the police in Hogarths. A tidy mob was hanging around The Dragonfly when I passed, called in Hogarths and loads of lads kept piling out of taxis, stone island and burburry scarved up to fuck, a scrap occurred and the walking wounded Shrews fans seeked solice in the pub before the landlord closed the doors.

Enjoyed that, in two different ways. Some great attacking football and chances created first half, heroic defending and keeping second half. Overall a lot more like those home performances v Oxford, Blackpool, Fleetwood early in Hillcroft's time.

They were a decent side, the enforced change at back actually steadied us and allowed us to get some control for me, led to a great half hour that should have sent us in at half time two up at least. Bridcutt experiment should be forgotten, back four much better with Chicksen back in at LB and Earl in middle (easily his best game)

Darcy was brilliant, confidence growing with very game, a joy to watch first half in particular. Him and Verlinden were on same wavelength for a spell late in first half that was really exciting

Even though they'd got stuck into us after half time and deserved to be level, I still think we could have wrestled the initiative back and won the game till Lowe's mad moment. Can ill afford losing players for 3 games who aren't injured.

Admit to not being convinced about Matthews but that double save was world class, fair play to him

Overall a great effort and a good game against a pretty strong outfit

Only one man to blame for that. Thick as mince that lad. Don’t think the ref’s been any worse than any other at this level TBF

Like I said, no issue with the sending off. That aside, though, he was fucking impotent. There’d have been half a dozen bookings on another day.

What went on in WSL when Lowe was walking off? Near to Traf I think.

Reet here goes.

Plenty of lads applauding lowe as he walked off. Another mon gave lowe a piece of his mind for being an idiot. He then was a bit strong in criticising folk for applauding.

Some of the applaudees then took great offence and gave him some verbals back.

Several lads then told the applaudees to calm down.

At which point they mounted their seats and started to make towards the regular who had initially criticised their applauding.

Plenty of language which had upset a little girl who was crying.

Which upset another lad next to me, who wouldn't normally say boo to a goose. He offered to batter the applaudees.

Orange warriors appeared en masse, and took one applaudee for a chat.

At the end of the game it sparked off again, the applaudees asking the lad near me to take it outside.

Heat was turning up again. Orange warriors approaching again.

At which point I spoke to the applaudees and suggested they just left and had a good new year, as the warriors were approaching and it was all so unnecessary.

One seemed to realise it was for the best, another less so. Both claimed they had done nowt.

This clearly wasn't the case, however all those involved could have chosen their words and delivery better.

A heated debate, out of a heated on pitch moment, no doubt fuelled by ale, that grew massively out of hand.

Anyway, more importantly, on our way up the footpath at the side of paragon business park, an old chap had taken a fall over a branch on the path.

He was in pain and couldn't put his foot down and bare weight.

A couple of us tried to carry him, but he was a big old fella, and it hurt him.

Called an ambulance, which turn up over an hour later. One pad flagged them down on Chorley new road, while I stayed and monitored the old boy according to 999 instructions.

Paramedics arrived and immediately determined that he had likely broken his hip.

Since had a call from his wife to confirm it, and he's waiting to be admitted to be operated on.

Weirdest game experience I've ever had, and it put the result into perspective.
