I've just volunteered to help out at the vaccination points, traffic control or whatever jobs they need doing. 6 hours twice a month min, unpaid obvs. Why they are recruiting rather than bringing in the Action Men I don't know, but so be it.

As someone with a science background, it's staggering that numerous vaccines, that work in entirely different ways, have been developed so fast. We are ahead of the curve. I still can't get my head how someone developed a vaccine against Smallpox without any modern days tech. We actively tracking the many of thousands of mutations, one of them was always going to evolve to be "more virulent". The only panic is the NHS, as usual.

Tier 4 is coming but will be the final lockdown. Looking at July for me, just in time for the football season to start!

Bolton now down to 249th in the country. Small increase over the last 7 days of 15%. Still only 155/100,000.  The top 40 boroughs in London are between 602 &1200/100,000.
That is staggering.

It’s about 90 where I live and that’s considered to be rife. But I’m expecting a surge pre new year

The vaccine isn't likely to be 100% effective and definitely not in the over 65s, look at the flu one as an example which doesn't get above 60% hit rate in that age group usually. Really not sure it's going to be the golden bullet people are hoping for.

Pfizer vaccine is suposed to be 95% effective after 2nd dose - 52% after the 1st - but the figures aren't peer reviewed yet, so it could be lower and the mutation might have an effect on the efficacy.

Oxford is 90% when a low dose followed by a standard dose is given,  and the figures have been peer reviewed, and are accurate, in trials in UK and Brazil.

Just need to get the bastards out ASAP.

Delivered presents to my folks today in horwich

Us at one end of the garage, them at the other and my daughter kicking off because she couldn't go up to them

Hopefully the last time we ever do that again

Whilst stopped at the lights down the lane, none of the girls working in the beauticians had masks on, but customers did, whilst in the barbers next door the barber did but none of the customers did

Crazy fuckers

No offence to your mate, but he wants his bumps felt going away right now.
