Moderators Zico Posted February 14, 2020 Moderators Share Posted February 14, 2020 Haven't city already been warned / fined before along with PSG? If so, then tough shit I think i heard they are trying to cover their tracks all the time, like paying low wages but big bonuses, and pretending they generate money from sponsorship when it's all from the owners pocket If so, there's no point in fining them, it has to be a ban or they just carry on And they have to go after the others Think it was Madrid who around 15 years ago racked up £150m debts, sold their training ground to the government / royal family for £150m, who then turned round and said "what do we need a training ground for, you can have it back for nowt"

Real and Rags gets away with it because they have loads of sad cunts following them and generate more money. They want a closed shop. Makes it all a bit pointless. Site Supporter Spider Posted February 14, 2020 Site Supporter Share Posted February 14, 2020 (edited) They’ll probably get it reduced to a year, but I find the massive fine a pisstake when other clubs get fined a few pennies for monkey chants. Scousers having a pop is exactly what you’d expect from them, the fucking horrible snidey skipfeeders. Maybe the travelling city fans should crush some Spaniards under a wall and take everyone down with them. End of the day, if Citeh’s legion of fans bothered turning up every week, they may have avoided this. Fuck them all. Johnnyrotten
Who cares really? Presumably they wont need a winter break now, they can celebrate their lack of tiredness. City survived for decades with virtually no European football, I think they'll get over it and continue to exist.
Traf
I think everyone was expecting a 1 year ban. UEFA ban them for 2 City appeal Ban reduced to 1 yr Everyone claims a win. Job done

Take Hunt Off
They did'nt throw bricks . They threw sods for the record .Not big & not clever. But neither was starting our victory tour from Irlam heights I used to hate them with a passion & still always favour the other team but things change .Almost every club in Lancashire outside the prem ( except probably pne ) hate us with a passion so we need to re-direct our vitreol. Cant comment on City fans only know three & they are long in the tooth & ok. Edited February 15, 2020 by Take Hunt Off

Mannyroader
Some chatter being reported on the BBC that City could be demoted to League 2 the same way Rangers were punished in Scotland. So Morecambe and Oldham might not be our biggest games after all.

Underpants
Balls to City. If this ruling stands as it is it won't be a knockout blow. Being out of Europe for 2 years? Big deal. I actually think it's a lenient punishment. I hear what Rudy is saying on how it effects the staff at Mcfc, and the hypocrisy of it all. But surely the gripe lies at the door of Man City and the decision makers.

Site Supporter MickyD Posted February 15, 2020 Site Supporter Share Posted February 15, 2020 Seems the info sent to UEFA to show they're within the confines of FFP is exactly the same info sent to EPL to prove it to them too. If the appeal fails or if their FFP is proven to be outside of the rules, there's perhaps a chance that City will be kicked out of the EPL too. Obviously some bean counter is employed by MCFC (and other clubs) to ensure rules are stuck to and report to UEFA and EPL accordingly so if you're bending rules to suit your own circumstances you run the risk of being found out. So, the question is, who provides the auditing system to ensure that the rules are being stuck to? Or does the EFL just accept the word of the club? We have less staff then any of the ‘big’ clubs, which is due to the current regime wanting a smaller back room staff who he’s used in the past, and he has inherited staff that were here before him the back room wage budget is smaller, and other clubs pay a lot more than City. The playing staff may be payed more which is where I assume the problems have arisen.
