Man City / Mino Raiola / Greed in Football

Been following the Man city debacle over the last few days and just heard the Mino Raiola interview with talksport this morning!! -

Football has changed so much in the last 20 years, it's barely recognisable. Our dragged out takeover, and the obsession with money from players, owners, agents, is boring

I'm falling out of love with it to be honest, I'm actually looking forward to being in LG2 next season, I might cancel Sky and switch off Talksport, watch us and some local non- league instead, get back to what its all about.

I’ve sacked sky and can’t listen to talk sport it’s a mouthpiece for prem clubs and nothing else, firestick gets me the odd prem game and champions league game I want to watch.  Without a doubt the gap between top 6 in prem and everyone else killing the magic of football and that’s sad. And don’t get me started on modern day fans and atmosphere, in general both are utter shite. Don’t help when we’re double shite either.

Have never bothered with Talksport. Don't bother with MOTD. Watch the odd Premier League game on Sky if there's nowt else on, but I just watch it for what it is rather than the whole circus that surrounds it. Can't say I'm in any rush for us to get anywhere near that level again, though I suppose just showing the ability to do so would be a nice change after the last few years.

Cant cope with sky & all the bullshit .Talksport is utter cack.Var has made even watching highlights a tedious chore.

My mate who now attends zero Wanderers games is obsessive about all the above.I just tell him I dont give a shiny shite about any of it .He really does not believe me & genuinely doesnt get it.

Port Vale away. Shrewsbury away. Forest at home and Wycombe away

All in recent years were brilliant.

We are fucking awful which makes it worse. There is a life and an identity that clubs can have without being premier league obsessed. We need to find ours and not get worried by the bollocks that goes on (and always has) in the game.

Surely it's all going to come to an end at some point, football isn't sustainable the way it currently is. My opinion also football agents should be banned, where does it end their greed & holding football clubs to ransom. Tossers like that Raiola make my blood boil, he's not in football for love on the game.

The 'End' has been predicted for years & years but never happens .At the top the game is swimming in money & the pool just gets deeper & deeper but no one drowns. In the shallow end clubs doggy paddle to keep afloat & occasionally one gets sucked under or like us latches on to a liferaft & survives .Expect more drowning incidents in the shallows over the next couple of seasons & not much change at the top unless a catastrophic failure occurs & the money men pull the plug , most unlikely given the vested interests involved .The only hope would be the customer switching off.

Sky is close to going in my house. I can’t stand Gary Neville and Sky’s obsession with Man ure getting back to the top. The commentary is so fucking biased.

I was watching a bit of Norwich v Liverpool the other day. Had to turn it off because of Jamie carragher

Plus do all the co commentators on BT Sports have to keep calling the main guy Fletch at least twenty times a mstch?

Fair comments. BT has an odd line up but it feels it has less of an agenda than Sky.

Ive always thought the Scottish pundits, soccer Saturday mob especially are loads better.

I think they need to try making it less of a show. Just show the match, Show some highlights objectively after. The end.

VAR needs to go. It is so shit.

Martin Tyler is the worst. If someone scores against United he may as well say nothing. If they score he’s close to knocking one out.

The game is absolutely on its arse. It’s gone. Not financially, but as a competitive sport. “Giant-killing”. Fuck me, a phrase that I grew up with talking about football. Barely hear it nowadays when a Prem club’s 3rd string millionaires can batter a lower league club because said Prem club has hoovered all the talent up and they are happy to train every day, barely ever play, and trouser a fortune

Greed is the word. At all levels. KA a perfect example albeit at a low level. Killing a club for personal gain. Bury shamefully died whilst a week’s salary for a few players who won’t play more than a handful of games in the Prem is the equivalent to them still being alive as a club

Setting my hatred for City aside, if UEFA and the EPL don’t come down on them nowt will change. Actually no, it will, it will get worse. Punish them properly and a rather large can of worms may be opened imo with other clubs being very worried and it may benefit the game. Nowt will happen though. UEFA are the most corrupt cunts of the lot

I think he was doing just that when he was hoping for VAR offside last night

Think somebody said it above

Folk have been trotting out the games gone, the games dead for at least 45 years

It was bollocks then and it's bollocks now

There's always been shit going down

Its just different kinds of shit
