Sick to death of covid-19 emails

I've had my email inbox full for a few weeks with companies sending out information on what they are doing about covid-19. Is this just an excuse to put their names out there in self promotion?

    Nah, I think it's to give at least a wafer thin illusion that they are in some sort of control and have a plan that is working.

    Ha ha - I was saying the exact same thing to my Mrs last night. 

    I really don't care how Pets at Home are responding to the COVID crisis.
