I'm starting a Craft Brewery Doing a range of stouts and IPA's:   "Putrified Goth Blood" - a thick, glutinous stout with unsubtle flavours of liquorice, farmers welly grooves, catering

Cheaper than a night out, still A night out I can’t have So, in broad terms, fuck it

I also just looked at bank and credit card statements

since mid march, I've spent at least £994.51 on booze

that's an average of 5 cans a night, at £5 a pop, for the last 40 nights

sounds about right

something has to change, in May

well I see it as swings and roundabouts

I've not had to pay nursery fees, which evens things out

and the increased child care at home has contributed to enhanced drinking habits, no doubt about it

Fair enough pal.
I’m not the worlds biggest home drinker anyway. Pub or nothing for me in reality other than the odd one but I’ve probably drank a lot more at home since this started but still not much in comparison.

I’m spending the money I’m saving on No nights/meals out on getting better quality grub in. Butcher that supplies a lot of the best restaurants in Edinburgh has moved to retail home deliveries and it’s an absolute delight.

Some going that.

Be fun to see that broken down in how much per day, how many beers per hour you’ve had in that time on an average.

it's probably more like 6 or 7 a day, between 6 and 11, can't be more accurate than that

so if we go with 7 beers over 5 hours

1 beer every 42 minutes, which again sounds about right

oh and at least 3 spliffs a night - 2 walking the dog and at least one after the mrs has gone to bed (she was ok with it for the first 2 weeks but then the tide turned)

honestly though

this is the wake up call I needed, it's not fucking good

I've put on a stone

You could've bought 884 cans of Lynx Pilsner, on a corner shop/four pack basis instead...

That's twenty two cans a day - one every forty three waking minutes (16hr days).

I was particularly unfussy in my drinking habits in the past - probably done the above daily on benders, don't think I've ever done forty days though and usually wasted about two cans worth leaving dregs.

I actually preferred Lynx to say, Stella Artois - which is real dog's breath these days.

Check the strength.

It needs to be the 7.2 OG.

Really?

I got some in a mix pack

Didn't appeal

I'll get to know them tomorrow

The trick is not to have them absolutely freezing cold.

they need to be cool otherwise you lose a lot of the flavour.

Ice cold is for cooking lagers.
