watched that YouTube video last night v Villa in Carling semi final first leg

I reckon if all those players came out of retirement now they'd give our current crop a mauling. 

Were we punching that far above our weight?

You have a point there, we've gone from having a decent team in the top division to a load of shite at the bottom of tier 3 twice in our lifetimes, not many other clubs have done that. Blackburn for example have never been as shite as we were in the 80s or are now. Maybe Blackburn traditionally attract more money to their club than we do, i dunno.
