I'm actually getting a bit pissed off here at the EFL's lack of action.

We were being handed all sorts of warnings and notices, it was touch and go if we would be allowed to begin the season and certainly weren't permitted signings. Yet here they are; nowhere near as close as we were to a deal, signing players, hiring staff and all without any foreboding warnings of membership removals.

Talk about competition "integrity". Get 'em gone.

EFL meeting today - Wigan on the Agenda - should be some sort of announcement

Aside from all the stuff Nixon puts out about the American bid , there is stuff happening quietly in the background

Supporters club been meeting with Admins and yesterday registered themselves as Limited Company at Companies House

Are they about to figure in some sort of deal ?

He said no apparently.

They've now moved onto John Sheridan, he's currently at Waterford. He allegedly called the league a shambles and a pub league so he may leave.

And he might go to Wigan?!

Puts them on a higher plane than those purporting to be Bolton’s Supporters Association.

As far as i’m aware Wiiggin aren’t struggling to pay their bills and they haven’t failed to fulfil any fixtures. Maybe thats why the EFL are being more patient with them.

Correct

Don’t forget, we were pulling out of fixtures months before we were getting warnings

Missed Brentford in May, deal was still going through in September

If admin can keep them playing I doubt they will be pulled from league fixtures

They are running out of players to sell, got no other assets other than a chippy and training ground, debtors need paying so the pot will be running dry pretty soon, think its a toss up who pulls plug first admin or EFL.

Irrespective, whoever is trying to buy them needs to prove to the EFL they can fund the club for at least this season if not next as well.

Totally agree

If EFL do allow them to start they must be seeing substantial evidence from the admins that a deal is close , in which case you would expect the 14 day notice to be issued to get minds focused and get it over the line

Cannot see them in anyway allowing them to start the season just because the Admin says they have enough money to play games for 2-3 months and in his opinion a buyer will materialise from those that he's had talks with so far

Last thing EFL want is a club folding 2- 3 months into a season

... And Sky TV need to know pretty soon - their match at Ipswich on sunday is their live game

This statement from the EFL, which has to be soon,  will indicate which direction Wigan are heading.

Easy. Pull the plug and fill the 90 minutes on the SKY schedule with goals from Bolton's 17 league and cup wins over Wigan and live celebrating Bwfc fans as the turd finally flushes.

Perfect match!

Just meant he's on a short term deal and his comments have created a lot of anger. He may see them as an escape before he gets potted despite all their issues.

Aye, he was ok for us but he’s been a horrible cunt since.

Just the man.

I’m glad they are starting the season - so they can suffer like we did last season by playing kids & cast-offs and enduring weekly thrashings. A slow painful death

Why? We survived it so there’s every chance they will too.
