The official Wigan are shit thread

Exactly Ziggy and I’m not being funny but if even the Administrator can’t be certain that the loan has or has not to be paid, who in their right mind would take the risk? I just can’t see anyone buying Wigan until that’s clarified. We had our own problems that way with buyers not exactly sure what was owed and what wasn’t and I’m sure there were genuine buyers who were put off by the not knowing so I don’t see anything different in Wigan’s case. The clock is ticking though because if they don’t sort something concrete in the next few weeks, Wigan probably won’t be allowed to compete in the league and we’ll have another Bury. Also, if a buyer for all 5 parts of the business doesn’t transpire, the administrator will have to sell the various parts separately. It’s clear that Wigan Rugby would like to acquire the ground and I believe the planning situation for the training grounds is being investigated. Altogether it doesn’t look good but for their fans sake I hope someone comes along and makes it work.

Have they gone yet?

I'm more than happy for them to suffer a few false dawns but in the end, all that matters is that they are playing Bury next season.

theyre flogging anything to the highest bidder. It’s lovely to watch

Aye and most of that money is already spoken for, they can pay July's wages now.

Delaying the inevitable though. Still got transfer payments to other clubs coming out their ears

Agreed. I can't remember if the administrators take out a monthly fee or wait until the end. If it's monthly £2m isn't going far.

It's a downward spiral, sell to exist until...

It seems it's only £1.5m release clause, the rest is mainly VAT.

Anyone got any idea how many senior players they've got still under contract for this season and beyond?  Williams signed permanently only last summer and Jamal Lowe is a recent permanent signing. The goalie Marshall too.  I think its 3 sales they've had so far and they had about 6 loans.  Cant be many high earners left apart from the above 3?  I could be completely wrong but monthly salaries cant be that high once the sales are completed.
