Must admit I’d have loved to see Bridcutt in the centre of this ‘new era’ Bolton team. He was a class above the rest of our team last season and genuinely looked too good for L1 when he was in form. U

Thought Matthews was a decent enough shot stopper, and has potential to maybe land a job in the second tier if he pushes on.

Still, he managed to let in a lot of weak goals which pissed me off. Headers at Coventry and certainly Portsmouth (slow motion header which he got nowhere near) come to mind. 

I also thought he seemed a bit soft. Wish him all the best.

Pretty sure he's laid his cards on the table now, though it's probably born of frustration more than anything else.

Ollie Watkins leaving Brentford, probably for Villa, for around £30mil.  Just mentioning it as Exeter due a sell on fee of upto 20%, jammy sods.  That potentially puts Exeter's playing  budget way above us and Salford, and they were already 4th favourites.

Yes, but doesn’t this highlight the stupidity of the salary cap?

They’ll be sat on money in the bank, unable to increase total salaries beyond £1.5m.
