My lads under 12s team play Fleetwood Gym this Saturday.

Theyve had to move the game from their ground in Fleetwood to a 'neutral' venue in Bispham on unity academy. (Where we train)

Theyve had to bring the head of referees to ref the game and the league officials are going to be present to observe the behaviour of their players and parents.

This after our manager lodged complaints after their behaviour last time and other teams since have faced similar issues.

We've all had letters from the league and club warning us not to react to their behaviour and its being heavily monitored.

Im really glad I want there last time, but cant wait to be there for this one.

Anyone fancy a day out by the sea on sat? :D

meet in ma kellys for refreshments?

Would never laugh at abuse of refs, but this topic reminded me of a time I took an u11 team to play Whelley Alexander in Wigan years ago.
as was often the case, coaches reffed .  Their coach was reffing and one little scrote of a player of his team was effing and blinding at the ref, that’s a “fucking joke ref “ “ are you fucking blind” etc , ref shouts at him, if you don’t shut up I’ll get Jason take you off

doest listen, ref gives a throw in to us that this little lad doesn’t agree with, shouts out “ yer a nob head ref that was ours”

Ref says “ right that’s it , Jason take billy  off sub him for Charlie , had enough of his cheek “

little scrote then says “ aww Dad “! 😁

🤣🤣

I remember by Dad subbed me off for Astley Bridge at about U12's....I had scored 2 or 3 and he wanted to get one of his better players on after being out with an injury....so easy option take me off.

I chucked my shirt at him and stormed off to the car....he got me a maccies to cheer me up...never forgot that, the wanker! 😁

Another good one, 2 seasons ago. My lad helping out Farnworth Hurricanes u16's away at Leigh...both teams could win the league...ref knew all their players....called em by name all game..''

We spanked em, my lad arguing with their players as he always does....my Mrs shouts at him to shut up...ref comes and sends her off.....stopped the game and would not re-start till my Mrs had marched all the way off the field🤣 Piss funny....my lad then moaned at ref for doing it....so he sent him off too.

Classy as fook, won about 5-0 though.

Its ace.🤣

U15's game few year ago...qtr final of cup again Stockport Georgians - Very good team.

Very dirty, and phyiscal they are but our lads can match that.

Loads of bad tackles, pretty even...then one of their big lads puts a shocker on ours...massive scuffle...2 sin bins, and our manager sent off.

Then next play...my lad, smallest on pitch, puts an even worse tackle on this big lad...ripped sock the lot....him screming on the floor. Ref sends my lad off....then their manager runs on pitch to moan....our parents start to shout at their manager...4 parents sent from the field.

Stockport Georgians 1 -3 Ladybridge

2 sin bins

1 red card

1 manager sent off

4 parents

😇

Sin bins? When did they become a thing? When my kids were playing the ref could ask a manager to replace a player rather than the player getting red carded. The manager refused, pretty much daring the ref.

They finished the game with 10 men but immediately following the red card, their manager shouted, “Oh, I get you now. OK, I’ll sub him.”

Er, too late, dickhead.

3/4 years ago it was enforced.

Its also a rule in the mens game, couple of Charnock 1st teamers have been sin binned.

Its only for arguing with the ref.

Doesn’t sound like Mr R that 😂.

Enjoyed my time coaching that MB team with @CSW Good lads (and lasses) and good parents. Lots carried on playing into adulthood - nice to think you made a bit of positive difference setting these lads/girls off on their football journey.

First year since a toddler my lads not going to play this year - BWFC away games too much pulling power.

You both certainly did that mate, good times.

We have 3 of that team together at Charnock Richard now too 👍

Funny age this now, many drop out at this age....but re-join a bit down the linke, 5-a-side, sunday league etc.

Anyone else had to mute their notifications for the day due to the stupid ass comments and people whining? Took the BBDFL to do for certain what we all knew they'd do.

Wasn't hard, but if little Jonny hasn't been able to play all Summer (and hopefully not trained outdoors in lightning), then surely in the capacity of a coach, you can explain to children that there is no game this weekend.

The parents whats app groups are unbearable.

Actually posted this in the Diana anniversary thread, but it’s probably a handy comparison that our junior game went ahead that day. Appreciate it was a much shorter turnaround in timing to have called games off en masse but it could easily have been done, even if it was a case of the FA instructing the leagues and then passing it down to the referees.

Its not a handy comparison though, is it

While, imo, Dianas death was a bigger tragedy, this is the Queen

Once again, its once in 70 years and if it causes parents to explain to little Johnny that he cant play cos a woman who did a pretty thankless job for 70 years has died, im all for it

But those explanations will be done countless times over the next week by parents and teachers. It was done yesterday in class and assemblies, the same will happen when they turn the radio/tv on and the same will happen on the funeral - all of which is good and I agree with.

The same conversations and explanations could have been done with a minutes silence/black armbands, a far more relevant and appropriate course of action  IMO

Know of at least one junior side who did training this morning in place of the cancelled fixtures and everyone turned out.

Surely it would have been better to have a full fixture list with a minute of silence or applause which would mean the kids had been part of something they might remember and ask about rather than having a morning dicking about on xbox.

She only had to put her fckg seat belt on.

Seatbelts on or off would make little difference in a crash at speed.

Mechanics of injury would see the car coming to an immediate stop following a collision at high speed into an immovable object. The body, whether seat-belted or not continues to move at whatever speed the car was travelling until either the steering wheel, dashboard, front seat (if a rear seat passenger) or the limits of the seatbelt stop it. Then the internal organs continue to move at the speed of the car until they either hit the insides of the body or, in the case of Diana, until a large blood vessel gets beyond its elastic limits and ruptures.

Top and bottom is, her survivability was down to a load of factors seatbelt was probably low down the list.
