2-1 at the half, Crawford, Delfouneso came off, conceded twice more before most were replaced by senior players in the 56th minute. They got the last one near the end through a trialist. 

Yes stings a bit that one.  They clearly still have some quality in their ranks.  However, I think we were using it as a game for fitness and fringe players and they were using it as a full on friendly and a confidence booster. We have still had a positive pre-season so far but the Crewe game is a bit more important now.

It probably means that the class of 2019 will be going out on loan to toughen up.

Does no harm. Pre season friendlies are just that.

Points docking aside, we'd still be two leagues apart too.

Great to be winning, but the real stuff starts next month.

Aye and Ideally in hindsight we should have played full strength vs Wigan and today’s team vs Accrington.
