I'd be moving heaven and earth to keep hold of this lad at left back. The wing backs make or break this system and we've looked a different side since he's come into it. Its the players that don't seem to bring anything to the table to make up for the mistakes that are the probem. There are a few in the squad who remain a mystery as to what they bring, its not errors that set them aside, its what does IE see in them? He got relegated yes but as Crawford, Darcy, Politic, Delaney etc found out if your team goes down that's the league you end up in till you work your way back up. As opposed to Madine who seems to do it the other way, somehow finds himself at clubs that go up and then becomes a "Prem" player for a bit. At his natural level now, as Santos is. Casting my mind back to last time we were a 4th tier club, did we have any players we’d look back at and bestow ‘hero’ status upon them? Savage perhaps for the goal at Wrexham. Fonz, Doyle, Crawford, Delaney, Darcy, Politic, Kioso and probably Santos good enough for Div 1 (let's not forget how poor the bottom half of that league is by the way).
