@bolty58 must be 75% Bruce.

I think you know better laddie. My accent has grown stronger down here and I find myself purposely talking with more Boltonian slang me owd cocker (just for the look of "WTF did he just say?" on their faces).

Bolton to the core - so much so they gave me this nickname down here. They tell me I never shut up about Bolton but I can't see it myself :D

No Being able to have a giggle at organised religion knowing full well it’s just a bit of fun, with likeminded knobheads. Thats what makes us boltonian.

Hating Man Utd

Fred Dibnah - first series in the 70's. Nothing is more Bolton than that.

I frequent Easter road myself on the odd occasion. More so back when I lived in leith and closer to town though.

Would you maybe have been at Gorgie though if you’d lived over west end?

No I always looked out for hibs results as a kid growing up. Most of my mates are hearts fans tbf and I do nowadays probably go to more hearts games than hibs, mainly always just for the carry on.

Ive got a season ticket at Livingston now so spend more time watching them Than any other Scottish club and enjoy a day out there (albeit not this season!) with that affiliation developing due to my last job where I was at all the home games as we were sponsors so I was responsible for entertaining clients and just liked the feel of the club it’s a proper community set up.

Fook me, I got a job teaching English at a school in Malibu in the 80’s.

Thick fuckers couldn’t understand me at all.

18 doesn’t have a ‘d’ in it.

Butter doesn’t have a ‘d’ in it.

I didn’t last long.

Yep (Aye), fair play to Livvy.

They’ve done well over the last few years building a club with all the competition around.

Helps give the community a sense of pride. 👍🏻

It does mate. It’s a real focal point and they do great stuff for the local kids. They get c1200 home fans and finished 5th last season. Remarkable really.

I used to work for Fyffes and went to Livingstone frequently.

Their Christmas do was one to remember. 🤣

Is livingstone what was meadowbank?

Started off as Ferranti thistle (a works team) and then ended up as meadowbank and then Livingston.

Tell us about your dream mosque.

Well location-wise, I think where the old Water Place was would be ideal.

Built of double-ply imported Persian sandstone bricks, with the cavities chock full of pig heads and gammon slices.

The size of a football pitch, with a green dome large enough to house a score of elephants. Topped off with a crescent moon made of pure gold.

4 minarets, one at each corner made of ornate marble inscribed with the teachings of the Prophet (PBUH).

Each minaret must have a PA output loud enough to reach the outer edges of the BL postcodes so that the Call to Prayer can be heard by the faithful across the borough.

Double parking will be permissible on all routes and the Head Imam, the top dude, will have all his sermons preceded by a fanfare of car horns.

No infidels.

The Pubs - The Whites - Burnden...

My first game against the vermin there at the Reebok (missed Everton). Helicopters buzzing around. And hatred.

The pure hate on Black Sunday.

Scrumpy in The Man and Scythe

Barred from the pub about 11 times.

Rice and Three.

Bella Pizza.

Is Bella pizza still there?

I don't live in Bolton anymore but it is very much where I'm from, I'm probably guilty of remembering growing up there with rose coloured glasses.

Bolton is different to it's neighbours, I like the local humour, my Birth Certificate states Haslam Maternity Home and I have "Made in Bolton" tattooed on my belly button 🙂

My brother was born there. Perhaps you remember him, his name is Graham. He was very small, with a bright red face. He  looked like Winston Churchill.

He's not changed much to be honest.

I'm posher than him, I was born at Heaton Grange.  We were both born within the sound of the Town Hall clock and can claim full Boltonian status.

I reckon on the old Arndale site. A lifesize statue of Abu Hamza - 8 minuretes, and footwashing facilities where the (knocked down) cenotaph was.

Perhaps they could reinstate the fountains but just as a jet wash for tired tootsies.

Return the budgie cages but just have them as a stoning facility for frisky Muslim ladies who’ve been caught at scout road chippy having forbidden sausage suppers.

There's no Riff Raff allowed in the Griffin just down the road, but I think infidels should be ok.

The Griffin will be demolished to make way for the subsidised rucksack shop
