Blimey. Lack of duty of care by patching him up & sending him out. Clearly worse than normal as they kbew he'd had 2 transplants previously. Dr. Feelgood
It COULD have wider impact on people with leg, knee, ankle, groin injuries being patched up & sent out. Increasingly litigious times could make this messy.

Rudy may have some insight into this sort of thing: though the possibility of a few ambulance chasers rubbing their hands shouldn't mask the legitimacy of genuine cases. Good luck to the lad, hope he stays well.

If a doctor feel he is being pressured there’s a number and union of sorts to contact. You will get annoyed managers but the hierarchy are happy for it to not be risked and trust the doctors over fear of legal action. I know a doctor who had his life made difficult after sticking by his professional decision under pressure. Think it came in after Dean Ashton. I remember the discussion over who was right or wrong when the female doctor over ruled Morinho about a player staying on the pitch after a head injury at Chelsea and should she be sacked . If she had gone Joses way she risked her registration . Doctors (and nurses) have to answer their govening body first and their employer second . But any doctor thats prescribing serious painkillers to a guy with a double kidney transplant needs looking at . Bit like the doctor for michael jackson ...he was doing what the patient wanted not what was in the best interests of the patient . Our club doctor quit over Sams installation of cryo-therapy which at the time was sanctioned and widly used in the USA but not over here. As a medic you can be struck off for not attending a scene you witness unless you are drunk at the time no matter what anybody asks/orders you to do .
