Dr Faustus
Since the window came in(?). I'm struggling to think of who signed when; Bobic, Laville?

dusan nikolic
Florent Laville without a doubt , absolutely pivotal alongside Bergsson in us stopping up that season Another victim of the Bolton Wanderers injury curse. BWFC_LOVE
Definitely Laville. We’d have gone down and never had our top eight finishes without him. Case can be made for Bobic too I guess.

Duck Egg
ALF Parky finally stumbled on a formation that could utilise him and that run from March is what took us up. Thank you Ken 😐
Benny The Ball
I would give a big shout out for Phil Neal who ( If my memory serves me right ) brought in Andy Walker in January 1992 Remember him scoring at Exeter on what was his debut ? Even though Neal was soon to be sacked, Walker remained and the following season under Bruce Rioch partnered up with John McGinlay , and that prolific partnership led to Promotion , the famous FA Cup runs and ultimately the premier league

Having had about 2 months to find someone to replace the 'known to be leaving' Anelka we came up with that stump.

The cup run gave him the poke to turn the loan into a permanent

What a finisher. This time is a bit hazy to me . Did Neal himself sign Walker permanently and then was sacked or did the club sign him after Neal was dismissed.? I would have loved to know how McGinlay and a pre injury Walker would have performed in the higher division . Perhaps we may have been near promotion that season instead? Duck Egg
As I remember it, we signed him permanently for 150k after his initial loan had gone so well. Definitely a Neal signing.
