He does. Not quite at the Freednan level of close-to-a-breakdown but that's a half-beaten man. Like he's feeling "no matter what I do it keeps failing".

I wondered if another couple of poor results would see him resign.

What and give up on 2 years salary compensation.

Unfortunately that is the only thing that keeps FV from firing him.

It's just so shit watching. I'll never be an armchair fan. I will either go, or not bother with football at all. Going and spending a fortune, then getting pissed off is miles better than just spending a tenner and getting pissed off.

I'll tell you how small time it is

I'm relieved that Mansfield don't have underfloor heating

The fucking peasants.

But we've got to play them eventually and i don't see us ripping up trees in the transfer window.

Exactly where I'm at, finding it depressing and not needed at the moment. I'm out.

I'm the same unfortunately.  In differnent times I'd have been setting off for Mansfield soon (I recall a 0-4 midweek defeat in the 80s with particular fondness), but its bad for my state of mind to watch this team.

I brace myself for home games but aways are a step too far currently.

If we win, I'll take the huge boost with open arms but if we lose I don't need the minute by minute angst.

Correct Steven.

What else are we supposed to do? Speak to the wives? I think not

Sky Soccer Special for me, still enjoy football chat and updates, just don't want to be shouting at the screen and getting on the wife's nerves.  Different if we could go to games and vent feelings (good or bad) properly with like minded folk.

it's me and my other half's (since we met) annivesary today

she's made plans for a fancy tea

she will have to work round the match

started moaning that I always think about the footy first, said that's not true, we've been together 8 seasons now

(met her the day we lost 2-1 in injury time to Everton in the FA cup)

You can tell her now that you will not watch the match she is much more important than a game of postponed football
