I can understand why Jones put the ball there, but if he looked up and saw Doyle then he’d have just had to have pulled his cross back 3 or 4 yards and Doyle scores. Doyle is immense. I knew he’d score goals but I didn’t expect his work rate or attitude - he’s a proper leader and I’m glad that we’ll have him leading the line next year. I noticed after Doyle was gassing so then thought maybe he didn’t have the legs.
