Harris now in the lead in terms of bookies after last night

Never doubted this would happen once she got the nomination. I hope you took my advice and got a bet on.

She will be the next POTUS. It will be interesting to see how long that honeymoon lasts. A few days if she is lucky.

I'd be extremely disappointed if he meant Trump.

In the main, thickbrown lives up to his moniker.

As do you, Portly58.

I think Trump would stand more of a chance, if he just kept a bit quieter, although I don't think his ego will let him do that. I've now watched that debate from the other night, where you said Trump won it "hands down" - Harris set the trap each time, and he took the bait, and once he starts talking, he just can't stop, and a lot (not all) of what he says just sounds like incoherent bollocks. He came across very badly, which I guess is why the polls have swung in her favour.

We can only hope that she absolutely smashes him out of sight, because if he loses by a small amount again, he'll no doubt be claiming it's rigged all over again.

I think that's an inevitability - whether he loses a fine margin or a landslide.

The man seems like a fish, floundering on the side of a river bank to me. But people do seem to like voting for floundering fish for some reason.

They're stuck between a rock and a hard plaice.

I was agreeing with you until this point. Firstly, we all know it's split down the middle so there are unlikely to be any drubbings. Confident she will win simply for zeitgeist reasons.

Whether or not this is a good thing is a completely different consideration. People like you use words like 'decent', 'respectable' or 'stable'. My personal opinion is that she is anything but. 'Sinister'. Bred from Marxists.

Avoid like the fucking plague.
