Aye, 2 or 3 thousand i'd guess, the car park opposite the ground was heaving with our coaches . It kicked off in the pub/club next to the ground pre match & the taffys came unstuck against Warby's

I went seem to remember about 50 bolton on an open end being surrounded by a load of gobshites all talking like pirates..and i think we drew 1-1 might be wrong like

I was thinking of a domestic league game, in 77 Blackpool were getting an average crowd of about 10,000, Bolton swamped the place with nearly 26,000 on.

It'd be close between that & Blackburn, wouldn't like to put a quid on it either way.

Which of the Wembley/Cardiff games? Liverpool League Cup?

If we're ignoring show piece finals, then maybe the semi final of 1923.

We beat Sheffield Utd at Old Trafford in what was then a record crowd for a semi final; 72000.

Modern times (i.e not old cunts) I'd say Blackburn away when we had 7500 on jussi double pen save.

Great away game.

In my time I think it's Liverpool in the cup, took 8500 which was also our average attendance that season

How many did we take to Elland Rd for the Newcastle game?

Good question; everyone seemed intermingled. Did we nominal have the home end?

if it was 50/50, then around 21,000. Was it 50/50?

Days we will never see again.

This was an interesting archive watch from 1994 on the BBC earlier, all sadly coming true now

Cardiff 22/April 1978.

Middlesbrough  27/Feb 1978  FA cup.

Cardiff was 43 years ago yesterday apparently.  Anyone off here go? It must have felt like we'd blown it again coming away from there that day?

The Middlesbrough game was a night match iirc? Did we take that many?

I was at both. Think we had about 7,000 at Cardiff. The Boro game was called off due to snow on the Saturday... it was as rough as fuck that night, we probably had a couple of thousand iirc, Stan Cummins brace for them.
