Exeter City - Home

The day the nightmare ends.

middlebrook heaving with tailgate parties and jubilant fans

Massive celebrations by Nat’s statue

A long long overdue reason to celebrate something genuinely incredible given years of disappointment.

Or a damp squib that brings out the misery-hungry naysayers?

Great post Cambridge

As Gonzo posted earlier, it’s never a dull moment following the Whites

Hopefully today there will be another piece of history to add to our great club

10-9, 5-4, 1-0......I don't give a toss. Just score one more than Exeter and we are truly back.

Bolton 1-0 Exeter

Woke up early and am too excited to get back to sleep. COYWM!

First ever Bolton match was the Legends match in 2016, saw some great players on the day though not in their prime sadly. Must admit got quite emotional when Fabrice Muamba came on.

I still can't watch the Muamba incident without becoming a blubbering mess. Anyway, todays the day - COYFWM

Enjoy your day the best you can .

After coming away from the Barbican yesterday evening as it went well over capacity its crazy they'd rather you were outside spraying  beer on each other than masked up in ground.

I've had 3 hours sleep... All revved up and ready to go

COYWM

Soooo looking forward to this.

Still hoping that we can win the league, tho we may av run out of games to do that now, but WE NEVER GIVE UP.

Its great that our destiny is in our own hands, I’m certain that we won’t waste this opportunity.

Another 1-0 will be fine.

I actually really really enjoy these 1-nillers, smug in the knowledge that try as they might, the opposition ain’t gonna score! 😂

Anyone else?

The only games I've managed to watch this season have been the 2 televised here. My Dad has insisted that I don't get up in the middle of the night to watch and jinx it. So in a few hours I'll be dropping enough Temazepam to knock a horse out.

Hopefully when I wake the usual culprits will be moaning about another 1-0 win and the rest of the not rights on here will be celebrating and drinking heavily.

Kept waking up, thinking about the game.

thank god junior has a game this morning to eat up a few hours.

After the game, yes

Slept surprisingly well (eventually). Still wasn’t expecting to be awake at this time though and the game was literally the first thought on my mind.

Club shop order is ready to collect (home shirt and some gear for my mate’s lad who has become BWFC obsessed this season despite his parents supporting the Manc clubs) so I’ll nip up this morning and offer up a prayer to the football gods.

COYWM let’s finish this shit.

Hopefully be bouncing round the ground at 5 with the dog in tow.

13-14 Think this was a dead season

You can add to 07/08 that we looked dead and buried with 5 games left, then got 11 from 15 including Boro away.

13/14, well DF did gift us with our worst start in 100+ years (and to prove it wasn't a fluke did it again the next season)

Beer time soon

Nice story

Trying my hardest to see all my patients before 3pm and hoping for no call outs!

Seeing us what seemed like minutes from going out of business was the lowest of the low, and I know people will say it’s only football, but it genuinely felt like one of the lowest points of my life. Sleepless nights wondering if my boyhood club would be around in the morning.

This was the hardest, most difficult part. Most of my friends are liverpool, city and united,  they rarely go to games and just didn't get the anger and upset this caused. The constant questions of, who will you follow if you do go out of business and the surprise when I would just say BWFC of course. But this whole season has felt different, a corner well and truly turned and a club I fucking love to bits again.

Anyway no nervous, sleepless nights here. 7 pints and a bottle of pinot noir saw to that.

Just got to nurse my head to 3 o'clock.
