I hear the Israeli PM constantly being quoted in the news saying this war is the only way to bring them back. I don't think the media are ignoring the hostages. 

The question is if people think this will bring them back and if it will prevent further violence down the line. I'll not claim to know the answer to that, but articles like this are interesting.
