I see the pro Palestine mob were out again today in the town centre. I’m sure Israel’s head shed will be taking note of this when they next consider a cease fire.

fkin weirdos

Given the plot failed by German and Danish police, and Hamas' open request to expand their terrorism to here, Europe and beyond, I'm sure that behind the scenes, the security forces of all the western nations will be collaborating with those of Israel all the more.

Israel should be emboldened to finish the job now. Stopping part way through won't serve as an olive branch, and me even be seen as a sign of weakness.

I wonder if any of those chanting "globalise the intifada" might perhaps be re-thinking their activism?

Probably not

An example of why the UN is useless

Would the list of Israel's breaches of UN resolutions not illustrate the point more?

It'd demonstrate their futility, yes

The UN's virtue might best be that fact that the big boys haven't actually annihilated each other.

At least having representatives around a table may mean back channels at least are kept open.

In general though, I've not got much time for it. When Iran gets to chair the human rights council..

I have no idea on this, but were there any resolutions on Hamas not to commit attacks?

Anyone thinking that Israel is half way to annihilating Hamas is deluded.

For all their flaws, the UN have many achievements. No doubt there services will have prevented more loss of life in Palestine.

Even letting people see the current Israeli govn for what it really is will have an impact down the line.

Do you think it'll ever be defeated?

I don't.

Not anytime soon and not with the current set of extremists running Israel.

You can’t occupy a population of 2 million illegally for 16 years and take no responsibility.

Responsibility lies with both sides.

A fair point. It takes two to tango.

When folk like this and Hamas exist there will be no peace.

In the words of Stephen Fry; Religion - Shit it.

If you swap the word "without" for "for", and the word "anything " for "nothing" it changes the meaning of the statement completely.

I'm not going to discuss politics, and I don't know Jarrah or Riklin, but maybe this is a language thing. Just maybe.

When Tel Aviv airport first opened (it was at Lod first) the sign over the gate said " Israel, You're Welcome to it". Completely diferent meaning to "Welcome to Israel"

Just saying.

Religion does as much good as bad and there are plenty of people who live their lives by their faith and are good/kind/charitable/thoughtful/humble people as a result. I'm every bit as suspicious of people who are militant atheists as I am of religious zealots. It's not all that long ago that militant atheism didn't really exist. In this dismal world of wokery it now does and it sneers at old ladies going to a rural Anglican or Catholic church every Sunday morning and sitting at the back for a quiet pray as much as it does as crazy people who use religion as a front for their own murderous agendas.

Both you and Stephen Fry need to stop over-simplifying.

No it doesn't. Unless you're suggesting nice religious people would go on murderous rampages if it wasn't for their faith? And they only do "nice stuff" because they've been indoctrinated?

Well in my view it does. So we'll have to agree to disagree. And since we live in an "inclusive" and "diverse" society there's room for all views, encompassing folks of all faiths and none. Perhaps you should display some of this much vaunted "tolerance" that liberals like you are are so fond of claiming is as at the root of your creed.

I take it you're religious then? I have no problem with religious people whatseover as long as they keep their relationship with their chosen God to themselves and don't try to use it as a tool to control how other people behave.

Sensitive 😃😃😃

You'll have to try much harder than that

And telling people what they can and can't comment on

What a time to be alive

Nope. Not in the least. But I have noted the trend towards militant atheism among the woke. And like everything else to to do with wokery it has a totalitarian feel about it.

Militant Atheism sounds like they should have been supporting Agnostic Front in the 80s American hardcore scene.
