Yeah that looks totally different from the bits I'd seen. How on earth can there be no casualties?

Now I've seen it on telly on a bigger screen you can tell not every one of them is a missile some of it looks like falling debris, but anything hitting the ground at that speed could be lethal.

Like last time the hope has to be Israel shows some constraint...

That's a new 'ism' on me! 😁 I think the problem with dictatorships is that they often aren't big fans of 'certain limits' in their 'viable system'.

You are overlooking benign dictatorship mate. What you would get with me :D;)

If the rumours are true, and Iran are about to start launching, then we are in for a bit of fun and games, as that'll probably drag the US into it (and by default, the UK probably)

It won't be popular of even palatable to some but a point has to be arrived at where Iran is neutralised.

Can't be allowed to continue. The time might finally be close.

A war in the Middle East. Labour likes this.

A bit like we did in Iraq then? 😁

It's happening, as soon as Israel retaliates, which I presume it will. You'd know better than me, but I don't know if this can ever be a "boots on the ground" affair, or constant chucking projectiles at each other

The thing is, haven't Israel already carried out operations in Iran? So is Iran retaliating?

One good that may come of all of this, is that Iran's leadership may be toppled if it escalates further. Their iron grip on the region and the terror cells it employs all over the world along with Saudi Arabia, may retaliate then, but it's one step closer to 'freeing' Iran and securing peace in the region.

I think Iran is probably the only major power in the area, that can end up being ran by a proper government, albeit as corrupt at the next one, without an ISIS/Taliban style takeover of the vacant seat.

I get the impression that Iran has good people and those people would readily go back to living in a secular state

I think you know that this is completely and utterly different.

Saddam was not engaging in utter bastardry/shithousery with proxies all over the Middle East. He was mustard gassing a few 'undesirables' as he saw them but, unless I am sadly mistaken, everything internal within Iraq.

Dubya used the term 'axis of evil' many years ago. In the main he was correct if not about Ba'athists. The time is coming when this cancer must be removed otherwise this shit isn't going away.

I have fond memories of friends in Bolton who described themselves as Persian and bemoaned the toppling of the Shah.

Would be both wonderful and remarkable if they could ever get somewhere close to where they were before these primitive savages usurped power. The world would instantly be a better place.
