Thats the line being put out by Israel

They use big fireworks and the suggestion is one of em misfired and hit a weapons dump

If so, my apologies to @BobyBrno

However the vid shown as proof has now been deleted as the time clock showed it to be later than the incident/accident

Either way, the timing is exceptional.

For both sides.

Bizarrely, it may calm things down.

You’d hope so.

If it's this one the image is from last August last year

I don't think the IDF have pointed to any particular video as proof

While i didnt see it, its said there was one attached to a twitter post fron the PM or the IDF, said to be from al jazeera but it was too late to be the one

Later removed

As a non expert in munition damage, what does this all suggest?

As a similar non expert, I'd say it definitely doesn't look like a crater made by a (functioning) bomb of the type the IDAF has been using.

(That's not to say that it isnt horrendous to see many of their planes flying with Vietnam era unguided/dumb bombs attached)

We'll see if there can be any independent verification of what either side says, that will probably be quite difficult though, who else would have the ability to have monitored what really happened? The US?

It almost doesn't matter now anyway, followers of each side are that entretnched that neither would believe anyone but the other side is at fault. Everything is a justification for more violence.

Aye

Might be time to call it a defeat for both sides and call it all off.

You can kill people, it's harder to kill an idealogy.

It's high time the vast majority of islam rose up and stamped out the terrorist groups doing this in their name.

Most of them of peaceful types, so they need to admit they have a problem and sort it.

Not optimistic, like.

Like you said further up, bizarrely it might calm things down but that's probably hope against hope in the short term.

And the terrifying thing that persists for me is that it doesn't matter what the "truth" is, it only takes one person to be radicalised by what they've seen and believe, to pick up anything from a knife to a gun to a bomb and cause carnage on a street in a town anywhere around the world.

This is exactly what Hamas and every terrorist organisation want to achieve. Drive the fuckers into the sea.
