If they're reporting 60K, it's generally safe to say the number is far higher. I'm dreading the lockdowns they'll be putting in place in various cities/provinces after CNY

Its been done to death but without lockdowns the hospitals would've been an absolute bloodbath. They can barely cope with a normal winter nevermind chucking a pandemic in the mixer. That was the prime reason.
Site Supporter Spider Posted March 4 Author Site Supporter Share Posted March 4 It’s too easy to pull data apart 3 years after the event. the suggestion that letting Covid rip through the population should have been an option is beyond ludicrous
Site Supporter Spider Posted March 4 Author Site Supporter Share Posted March 4 I saw first hand what it did to a care home my mum was in. The vaccine route was the right one. Some of the later lockdowns that were done by postcode area were possibly a bit daft, but letting it loose would certainly have given Boris those bodies he was happy to pile high. You approve of lockdowns yet say Boris was happy to pile bodies up. No one wanted anyone to die. Fucking pathetic.

I had no issue with lockdowns, but I had a massive issue with Boris then shitting in our faces by breaking the rules we all followed. You didn’t have to talk to your dying mother through a fucking window whilst the rule makers tossed it off. That, my good man, was fucking pathetic. Site Supporter Popular Post Spider Posted March 4 Author Site Supporter Popular Post Share Posted March 4 I could have broken the rules in a small and specific way I suppose. Could have wandered in to the care home and spread Covid to every resident and potentially killed the lot, but I just wanted to see my mum so it’s not selfish. She was confused and scared and a cuddle would have probably really helped. But no, rules were rules. I shouted at her through a window trying to explain what was going on assuring her I wasn’t just avoiding her and leaving her to it. I stuck to the fucking rules. And I’d like to think that just maybe I saved a few lives by doing so, even at massive and eternal regret for me, my mum and my family. So no. Fuck off. Fuck Boris fucking Johnson and fuck anyone who didn’t have to put up with anything more horrid than wearing a mask and cleaning a fucking shopping trolley with hand gel. I won’t be forgiving the fat bumbling cuntlump and I hope he ends up living in the back of Ford Fiesta.

gonzo
Awful spider. My mum spent her last 3 weeks alive on a ward witn no visiting allowed. We were allowed in for the final few days to be by her side but by that time she was away with the fairies. Im adamant those 3 weeks alone on that ward contributed to her rapid downfall and she pretty much gave up.

Just like we keep being told to. ”time to move on” (see Brexit) Apparently moving on depends on the subject.
