New season predictions

This is pretty much how I based my 9th prediction. The league is a bit stronger and the 16/17 team had more goal threat in it.

Player for player, I don't think we are much worse off over the 11

Just checked the goalscorers from that season and although we had some painful goal droughts, there were a lot of regular scorers: Vela, Madine, Clough, Wheater all got 9, Beevers 7, ALF 6, Spearing 3.  We also had the assists of Ameobi pre-Xmas and Morais post Xmas.  This team now looks better in so many ways but being a potent goal threat either from open play or set pieces is a concern.

If we could just get Dapo scoring and hopefully a fit and well DP, we should have more of a threat but we do desperately still need at least one more proper striker. Doyle can’t take all the weight and Bako doesn’t look prolific and in the seasons we’ve done well we’ve had at least four good options. An injury to Doyler as it is and we’re in big trouble.

This is not a discussion thread... put your arses on the line and tell us where you expect us to be at the final shake down, stop hot airing and give it us straight please

Sorry Dim, you’re right but I already did earlier in the thread and top six is my bet. 😔

Still 7 places higher than Hugemongus will say.

I think he had us top 7 to be fair!  I'd be happy with 17th, its not a negative prediction, we were 17th in league 2 a few months ago and I'm buzzing just to have got out of that rotten league. I'll be well happy to finish in a similar place to the Plymouths, Shrewsburys and Burtons and push on the year after with more potential goal scorers hopefully.
