Isn't it some agreement though from when they went up to middlebrook I read somewhere?

Plus that was the PL not often you get midweek games there, plus we don’t have 25,000 for a midweek game clogging up the

You mustn't have seen him last season 😊. To be fair to him, he's improved massively & though he's still 2nd choice, I wouldn't be scared of playing him now. Mantra
We were lucky to be in the game at half time, they had 2 or 3 very good crosses which hit unmarked strikers and they had a goal wrongly ruled out for offside. Having said that, it was clear that Evatt put a rocket up their arse at HT for showing them too much respect because we came out full of vibrancy and were deserved winners in the end. Feeling very positive about this group. However, one big moan for me was Delfouneso. He has lost his bottle totally. Every time he got the ball he looked afraid to do anything with it, and when he did try something he just got tackled. Granted he's not played a lot of football so maybe he's not fully fit or sharp but he should be an example for players like Bakayoko and Afolayan but at the minute they're miles ahead of him and I can't see him pushing anyone for a starting place. On Liam Gordon, he put in a much better performance than any time I saw him in League 2, think he takes the easy option a bit too much but I can't fully judge him yet. Bakayoko is fucking insanely good, did more in 5 minutes than Delf did in 60.

Thought Gordon more than held his own against really tricky, skilful opponents. Looks a different player to last season, if he was a new signing this season I'd be saying he looks a very useful addition. I certainly don't expect to see a right footed left back (Brocky or Jones) this season, injuries permitting.

Jones on the other side was 10/20 yards further up supporting the winger. No surprise to me that Delf looked poor, due to having no proper supprt from the left back. Take Hunt Off
Improved massively when Delfonso was subbed , he has been disappointing to say the least . At least we now have an effective plan B. Babayako gives us the option of mixing it up a bit.We can now play a bit longer if we need to . All the new signings have improved our squad & I think Gordon did ok despite a difficult opening twenty minutes , I think he will improve only twenty two years old at the end of the day. CJG
What an achievement! Last time we beat a team from a higher division was over 8 years ago versus Sunderland FA Cup 2013. Hard to call who has fallen more since then us or Adam Johnson.
