Especially against last seasons play off finalists at their own ground. The mid week invincibles continue! Very open game & we were vulnerable on the turnovers in possession but that's what comes with being so brave in how we set up with the high line. Second half we adjusted to the midfield battle which we was in initially coming off second best in & we took over which was paramount. Evatt got his subs spot on, Isgrove again is a managers dream. Kachunga with another match defining lay off, he is efficient with his work. Lee just for the fresh legs to cover the ground when they are trying to put pressure on. One thing I would say is Lincoln made a grave mistake in not commiting to putting crosses in against us after the hellish time we had at Wimbledon but we look very good with Johnstones & Rico at the back! The manager got all the subs spot on and playing Dapo a bit more central second half changed the game. struggle to pick A man of the match probably Dapo but second half thought Jones had best game I have seen him have, they targeted that side and he stood up to it, plus he got forward to help. Top drawer all round but Sheehan in particular ran the show. Ended up in their end having missed the first 10-15 minutes so was weird to be watching it from a different perspective (while sat on my hands) but that’s a real marker considering how well they did last season. Didn't stop when he came on. Plus their keeper looked about 12. Fantastic game, horrid to get back from, stuck in Lincoln traffic for about 45 mins and then about 15 mins at that bloody toll bridge. Had high hopes for us before a ball was kicked this season but needed some confirmation bias after the sloppy mistakes of MK and Wimbledon. Thought everyone put in a good shift, making it hard to pick a MOTM, which was a feature of last season. Therefore I’ll give MOTM to Mr Evatt for cultivating such a wonderful team.
